First proper clean of the bike withe fins resanded to clean them up and a small polish of covers but really need removing to do properly.
Slight test fit of the handlebar fairing and looks like I may need a slight recess around the standard indicators and either a slight trim of the screen of possibly angled bars risers as the screen is touching on the reservoirs.

I have the same fairing on my 1400. No mods needed when I fit it.

I just changed the bolts that mount the headlight so that the bolt head became a threaded nut as well.  Then just used Hex head screws to mount the fairing to the headlight mount bolts.

its a firm fit - but that just means that the fairing sits solid no matter what highway speed I am riding at.

Mmm interesting, I'm going to try it with the standard indicators off as that may be pushing into the ultra low bars. Or it could be be my headlamp is aiming at the moon and its kicking back too far.
Do you have any pics of it fitted.
I was going to try a spacer where the current headlamp bolt sits so it doesn't crush the fairing when it's tightend together.

I did a complete build blog in the members rides.  also showing the mods and fitting a LED headlight etc.  Have a search in the members rides - its there somewhere.

Not sure if it applies to others, i had a little screen on to try. It vibrated against headlight rim and scratched/ marked it. Annoying.Maybe some tape on rim was what i shouldve done.Just a heads up.

That's not a bad idea actually, thanks for the heads up

Fairing now fitted, had to open up the fairing holes where it attaches to the headlamp and fit headlamp bolts the other way around with longer bolts, and nuts to lock it off. Quick test ride seemed OK.

That's a lot nicer than the Givi fly screen I previously used.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

It's a tight fit, I've put some foam tape at the top of the clocks as it's very close to the screen, however a little blast up to 80 ( Do I have to say private test track here like some forums) and it felt a lot less wind pressure on my lid, although I was wearing my old AGV, hopefully the Simpson behaves in a similar way
