@Batkwaka what was the report on GSXS1000ST ?
Your mate was lucky to get a test ride 🤨
Every one of them was sold prior to delivery in South East Queensland & some people onsold them for a profit prior to delivery 🧐🧐
Best SUZUKI in a long time apparently 😂😂
It was the GT model and it was very nice. Again cruise control as standard, fly by wire throttle giving different mapping options. It was comfortable enough that Patrick didn't get the aches I was getting on the Hayabusa, he also rode around in top gear mostly as the spread of power was excellent and a very usable bottom end.
It handles just fine but we were only doing 60-70kph through a winding semi-rural road.
The problem is....the panniers aren't available. A GT with no luggage capacity? It is an issue with an independent supplier but nonetheless. The early Panorama model with top box as well was previously available but has been removed from the website. Very disappointing.
The bike itself is an absolute winner though, as an only bike I would take it over the Hayabusa as it a friendlier day to day option and with the right rider would be on the clacker of a Hayabusa in most situations.
I'm hoping Patrick buys one, he is the one in 2009 that convinced me to buy the GSX1400 over the Bandit which was a great move. He rode his GSX1400 when we travelled across Australia for the 2015 MotoGP. He sold up his bikes after a nasty shoulder injury riding a 125cc Bike to work. Now with due pressure from his friends he has realised his folly and looking forward to riding again. We have discussed a few more rides and a few more FarRides as well. He just needs a new bike with Luggage attached.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

I haven't looked into the Suzuki luggage options.

The Kawasaki version is very good.
The same box's fit multiple models. The H2 has a 4 into 1 but both box's come with heat shields.
There are no ugly frames or mounting kits, they attach securely to the grab handles and rear pegs.
The locks are easily set to use the bikes ignition key.
The lids and side strips are easily changed so you can go plain black or colour coded.

I'm not sure how this compares to the Suzuki set up ?

The luggage (and centre stand) were a couple of things I think the Busa should have had as options.

When shopping for my tourer, I tested a triumph GT and actually made an offer, the seller wanted more so it didn't work out.  It had matching panniers and top box, that 3 cylinder 1050cc motor is sweet. Bike was as new, beautiful red metallic matching everything.

Ended up with the BMW-K-1300-GT for the same money I was offering for the Triumph, glad I did, the Triumph is actually pretty cramped, but im 6'2", so the triumph gt may suit shorter riders.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 would be a good alternative or comparison.

I recorded the ride from Saturday and just put it up on YouTube.
Again no heroic's, more  test of my own durability on a sports bike.
It's a bit long though, 25 minutes, perhaps I should have gone faster...

I like Mundaring Weir.  The run through the Bickley Valley and up to Gidgegannup is also nice.

Good roads, I like O'Briens Rd & Berri Rd out that way as well but not on Sundays, too many riders cross the white line going too hot into the tight corners. Even keeping to the far left I've nearly been cleaned up, fun when it's quiet. I have friend with a property in Nannup I will be visiting soon, there's great roads down there...some Kangaroos too but it's all good.

Off topic I know, but imho the best riding road in WA is from Albany to Walpole and further to bremer bay.  Along the southern coast.  Once out of Bremer Bay it's flat and boring to Esperance.  The run to albany is not too bad if you stick to secondary roads.

Agree totally, had a look in show room new GSXR1000, really couldnt believe can size. Salesman kept muttering on about changing it to Akra, re tuning etc etc. Dollar figures were like a politicians wages. No wonder Suzuki going broke.

Won't be an issue soon. Other counties don't follow Euro 5 but it's common for models that get dropped in the EU to later be dropped elsewhere.

Another Suzuki bites the dust.

Watch the second-hand prices shoot up for these now.

Nowhere near the numbers available for a normally aspirated Gen-1 or 2 yet, but it's good to see progress being made on the Gen-3's.

A 242hp street mods.

It'll be interesting to see if / when they do a stroker kit for the 3.

Word is that although the 3 isn't as easy to build for big numbers is design is more biased to keeping it all in one piece with serious horsepower.

Maybe.

I'm currently looking at Gen-2 Busa's and it was questionable which way the prices would go.

Some thought the 3 would mean the 2's were worth less and outdated or less in demand.
Some thought the 2's would be more in demand as they are currently more tuneable and still well below the 3's current prices.

So far the prices just seem to be holding firm and maybe creeping up a little.

I'd certainly not be surprised to see the 1000 do similar.  Many big Suzuki's from the old Kats, early GSXR's, to Gen-1 Busa's and tidy 14's do seem to be safe money.  Some of the early Bandit 12's and going for more than the Mk-2's, and in more demand than the later 1250's.

Not too bad, but what are the numbers for a Gen 1 or 2 then Tony?
