Nowhere near the numbers available for a normally aspirated Gen-1 or 2 yet, but it's good to see progress being made on the Gen-3's.

A 242hp street mods.

Not too bad, but what are the numbers for a Gen 1 or 2 then Tony?

Gen-1...

Gen-2's have better cams and bigger throttle bodies than the new 3, but the 2 didn't have a hope of meeting the emissions specs the 3 does.  This originally meant the new Gen-3 lagged a bit behind in the go-faster world, (plus it gave the haters some ammunition to slag it off despite the fact the 3 actually accelerated harder and faster).  Folk are now dropping in cams and boring the 3's throttle body's so the 2 doesn't have those advantages any longer.

Incredible mjgt, hard to imagine. Posted b4 i rode my Mates 14, long time ago. Rotex supercharger, very ugly but he likes it. Think it was around 180 bhp, sure could go.I totally enjoyed, so much grunt, not scary just power.  That was around 8 yrs ago i rode it. He has it in pieces, wants 300, no idea why, just what he does. Old video of same set up his was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bbg4uA9IXyk

BigCC Racing did a video recently.

They had a Supercharged Gen-2 Busa in running 18lb of boost making 280hp.

When they ran one of their chargecoolers it made a extra 20hp, still at 18lb on the same bike.

They later removed all this and on the same bike ran one of their turbo kits, the same bike at the same 18lb of boost made 450hp.

I was really interested in the supercharger kits, but the turbo's have so many advantages, same hp on less boost, heaps more options and heaps more back up.  Dodge built a supercharged Busa for the world wheelie comp and I thought it made sense, you really need controllable power up on one wheel not just outright numbers, but the turbo bikes still beat it.
