Never use air on half a calliper in a busy workshop though. I once fired a stuck piston clean over a brand new, unregistered Volvo when fixing my own car at an old job.

Thanks mate, very good tips.  Everyday is a school day.  Just wish he would stop dropping the sockets and parts...
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Tally

I used the ratchet system and the pistons came out a treat.

I finally got my throttle bodies apart after using a bit of heat on them.

The motor is fine, magnets aren't loose etc. The fast idle lever was a bit sticky on it's pivot so I cleaned that up, couldn't find anything wrong so put them back together. Refitted it all to the bike, fired it up and.....

3 secs later C28, ffs!

So all that for nothing, it's exactly like it was before. Buggered if I know what it is, I'll have to reread the manual & think a bit more.

I'm chasing the sane fault Hooli,  normally get the FI light and C28 if i snap the throttle open too quick, but sometimes at cruising speed it will suddenly just fault. I haven't yet pulled the TB's off, last time I synced them I manually pushed the secondaries and I could not feel a grating or any roughness, but that's not to say the stva magnet is not broken.  Fast idle works well, if anything it steps down too fast, but then it's never too cold here.

I'm going to pull the stva out and check the magnet, and then go from there.

Stick with it mate, you'll work it out.

I can't even ride mine. When the fault occurs the secondaries shut so the bike can hardly move.

Today continuing on calipers.A bitch to get outside clean, tried brake cleaner, even washed in sink with dishwashing stuff. Not bad but not perfect yet. Bloke nearby has water blasting business, might see him. Can i just get caliper gold paint, any tips to get close to original colour. Easy to paint im thinking. Help appreciated.

KiwiCol

From memory on the old forum, it was Subaru Gold paint that was supposed to be very close or the same.   @Del would also be able to say which one to use.

If that's a BMWobbleU then I'd rather not thanks.

I bought the bike a few months ago and noticed the last owner had done the inside of the fuel tank as it must have had some rust,
I bought a new fuel pump/filter incase he did a half-ass job plus tank was leaking underneath all fixed now new Pump filter & seal,

Continued on calipers. Bought 8 stainless allen bolts to clamp halves together.7 bucks from bolt shop. Ordered pads. Found a good cleaner, Ajax Pro bathroom cleaner, works a1.Apparently it works wonders on wheels etc for brake dust. Used all old fittings to mask for painting. Used a rag with brake cleaner on right angle pick to clean out seal grooves and piston cylinders. Paint tomorrow. Coming along well. 👍

Spent an hour in the shed with the new Busa going through all the options and settings, just getting familiar with it and adjusting a few things.

6 modes, all 6 adjustable but A, B and C return to the 3 factory pre sets, the other 3 store your settings.

Traction control, anti wheelie, engine braking, dash brightness, launch control options, quick shifter options, shift light and pre shift light options, TFT display options, hill hold, heaps more, everything seems to be adjustable and changeable.

The "Top Speed set limit" I thought was a real bad idea isn't quite as bad as I thought. You set a speed and the bike does not exceed it, BUT.. aggressive use of the throttle bypasses it and lets you accelerate past the chosen speed. So my fear of not being able to gas it out of trouble was wrong.

Mostly wasted on me, but what the Hell, it's toys to play with.

It does have a few tricks the H2 didn't, only thing I'm not a huge fan off is you can't adjust much on the fly if you have the cruise control on. On the H2 cruise control on a highway or long straight let you change stuff and check other stuff, not on the Busa. I'm sure I can live with that.

A few folk have reported some hidden "Falcons" coming up occasionally that no one was told about. Aggressive riding or long hours brings up a different hidden Hayabusa bird logo or screen.

Bugger me Suzuki have left the Stone Age!

It won't be to everyone's taste, but it's quite interesting what's out there.
