And your license would evaporate in seconds with so many "road safety/revenue raising" cameras proliferating south east Queensland roads presently. 2 $ million a week from mobile phone/seat belt cameras alone & they aren't getting the hint. One stupid woman has been caught 6 times @ $1000/offence + 4 points & fine doubles if within 12 months 😳
I guess she will keep driving unlicensed 🤯🤯🤯

I'm a convert to proper cruise control. I always hated throttle lock type stuff but car like electronic version is great. I thought it'd be just a novelty gimmick but after over 3 years with it I miss it on other bikes. My old bones, injures and arthritis love the resting my grip, sitting up, giving either hand a rest on the highway or long straights. I never thought I would be, but I'm a convert.

However.....

... much as I love cruise control (it suits my old bones and poor health) I dislike the way some bikes come off it. The H2 had a bit of a jolt, I eventually worked out that knocking the cruise control off the H2 with the clutch fixed that. However... the Busa has a thing where when you do that it blips the revs, very noticeably, like a milder version of a missed gear, I didn't like it!

I worked out today that unlike on the Kwak, knocking the cruise control off with the rear brake is quite smooth on the Busa.

A very small detail, but a few times on each ride it's just a little bit nicer.

Second that. I have the car type cc on the bmw k1300gt, very easy to use and adjust, but comes off it quite harshly, still need to figure out how to get it off Cc softly. The rear brake  idea is worth pursuing....
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Both my BMW RT & 325  car have active cruise that slows your decent down hill also.  :onya: :onya:

I see the new H2 SX SE has the active system like my Rav-4 that has a radar bit that keeps a set distance to the vehicle in front.  The Rav will speed up or slow down to keep a set distance from any vehicle it catches up within the set speed,  I have been known to be in my Hilux and forget it doesn't do this!!!

I don't know how common it is on bikes but the H2 SX SE is the first time I've seen it on a bike.

I thought cruise on a bike was a gimmick too, but I use it all the time on my HD. On that a flick of the brake is smoothest to come off it too, dunno why rolling the throttle past off makes it shut off harsher, it's an off one.

Coming off using the brake also might wake up following traffic that your slowing when the brake light flashes.

BMW, KTM and Ducati have had adaptive cruise for a while now, japs are just catching up.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Yeah I looked into get cruise fitted to the 1400 at one stage - obviously on vacuum operated, but at $1K - yeah NO.

Same. I hate to sticky throttle hand rest type systems and couldn't justify an aftermarket one that wasn't really a modern ECU type.   Cruise control suits me and to have it on a 14 would be nice.

I've got a Brakeaway Cruise Control & I'm very happy with it.   Way better than the one it comes with . . .
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

So im the opposite. Ute and car with factory cruise control. Had other cars with it.Never use it. Just doesnt feel right to me, of course ive tried it a few times, not for me.No thoughts for or against.14 has always had throttle rocker on it, thats something i couldnt ride without. Wish id had one back in the heavy throttle turning Ducati days. Each to their own i reckon.

Hooli

I find myself using it a lot in town & roadworks where most speed cameras are, it's so easy to creep up to a safe speed rather than a legal one.
