@Teufel  IIRC has some good stands for shuffling bikes around - he manages to fit a few bikes in a small space!

So what do you do when you remove a K7 collector that will probably never be used again? Normal people would either sell, store or throw away but those who know me know I'm not normal.

It's pissing down outside & I'm looking for something to do out of the rain then I sight the collector. There's still a long way to go to finish but FFS ... WHY?
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

---Totally non 14 content warning---

I rode my Triumph Sprint GT to Edinburgh this morning and left it there. There's a good reason for that as I part-ex'd it for a ditch pump HD Sport Glide.  The ride back was a lot more comfy & fun at nearly the same speeds. Took a nice scenic route down the borders to get some varied riding to start running it in, two hundred and fifty mile done so that's a quarter of the way to it's first service already.

I hoped to get it home reasonably clean as the weather was ok, but nope. Thirty miles old & it got attacked by a gritter throwing lumps of salt at it. Huge white streaks all over, then two hours later it rained to wash them all off. I enjoyed the ride though, it's much more me than the Sprint. If I want to put some effort in to corners etc I've got the 14, this is for a more relaxed day out. Which isn't to say it can't shift when asked, I think as I get used to it on clean and dry roads it'll corner pretty well too.

Congrats Hooli, hope you budgeted for a full set of non metric tools and a large hammer.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Congrats Hooli, a new bike is always so exciting.
Ride safe. Hope you enjoy it.

Collecting Harley wenches and all the branded merchandise will keep you busy, having Grandads old Whitworth spanners should be a cost saving.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

They're made by Suzuki now so no imperial 🙏 however lots of of torx nuts & bolts to deter the less mechanically minded 🙀

Hooli

I've already got lots of proper imperial tools so I'm good there. They are a mix these days, frame and engine are imperial but brakes and stuff are metric because they're bought in.

Unsurprisingly as it's nice I'm off out again today, just need to adjust the lever positions first.

As for how it rides, I was on dirty, often wet roads covered in salt and grit so I didn't try to push it yesterday. But I can say it seems to corner fine unless you back off, that makes it run really wide. Even more surprising the brakes work!

Not much to say about your choice Hooli. You mustve thought about it. I once went on a 600k run with two of those big bagger type. I was amazed how fast, twisty or straight roads.

Screaming Eagle pipes and air filter on there way yet .......stereo perhaps ?
Mate of mine had a Street Glide, he covered everything in Harley stuff, himself, his missus, the garage, inside his house. Man he had it all, must have cost him a small fortune, probably a large one. He loved that bike and the look. He was a big bugger, but a gentle giant, a visit to my daughter's flat did stop a problem she was having with a pushy flatmate. He didn't say a word to the fella just 'hello' to my girl. I used to give him arseholes, told me he'd bought this cool chrome looking german helmet. I asked what would his grandfather have thought. I never saw him wear it. He used to say "never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly" He loved his Hog.
Hope you thoroughly enjoy yours Hooli....
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Similar Kiwi. I know a few big boppers in gangs. Perfect blokes older ones They have rules, i know a few secrets they store.  Handy to be on good terms. We went to a bosses wifes birthday party, great night. Keep my bike away, considered as a piece of rubbish, just how they think.

You'll never get that smell out of the garage now Hooli - I think you must have had a very senior moment!!
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!
