My house got huge storm last night. Trees down everywhere. Spent whole day carting them from yard. No power, maybe days. One branch went thru cladding and plaster into lounge room. Another around 40 kg branch, i cant lift it, flew 50 metres into my yard. Mustve been over 300 k winds, 60 mm hail. Not having much fun lately.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Seen some pictures from the other side and you certainly getting some shit weather, I hope you are all staying safe and it clears up soon.
It seems mad that Australia is having serious flooding, Europe could be on the brink of war with Russia, Russia has invaded Ukraine and is killing civilians and destroying building and yet there are still some whinging that the fucking football is cancelled.  It's a crazy world we all live in.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

@grog
That sounds horrendous. Hopefully you can get it all sorted out and hopefully no major structural damage done to your house. Scary stuff indeed.

Stay safe :onya:
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

Thanks Fellas. So today got up on roof, solar panels ok, gutters full of tree debris, gone now. Problem found, bloody whirlybird air extractor blown off, that rooms ceiling flooded. Insurance claim now. So my warning is, if you have one, they just push down onto base, they need safety straps. Just little metal bars screwed to top n bottom, at least 2, 4 for me now. Mongrels who fitted mine just put one, wouldve been ok with more.

Well done Mr. Grog.   I installed mine DIY and fitted 2 straps, plus I riveted the collar at 4 points. We get a SEasterly (The Freo Doctor) that can be quite strong.
