You blokes thought Triumph last week had bad fairing. I think Suzuki might have out Trumped them. https://www.visordown.com/news/new-bikes/suzuki-gsx-s1000gt-specs-tech-features

150hp @ 11,000rpm is a bit of a step up in both hp and rpm from our 14's.
Sure is a fugly fairing
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

GSXKING

I actually quite like the look all round.  :hat: I will head down to my local Suzuki dealer Friday and enquire  :onya: :onya:

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Not too bad, better than the new Trumpy, not as nice as a 2011 triumph 1050 GT.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

For me an everyday bike needs about the 22 litre fuel tank of the GSX1400. 19 litres isn't going to cut it, particularly for a GT model, it was one of my gripes about the original Bandit 1200.

Well that rather depends on fuel economy doesn't it. Iwonder how this cpomapres with a stock 1400 on that front.

Still like my GSF1200S
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

Looks like a Blue Kawa to me, not sayin that's a bad thing, just what it looks like.  Be interesting for a look.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

DP1400

Seems to me that everyone is confused about this bikes identity already. It plainly says `GT`, yet its being referred to as a `Sports Tourer`! WTF actually IS  a `sports tourer` anyway :confused1:?? I`d argue that no one thing can do both really well, yet `Grand Tourer`, as the badge suggests, is possibly a decent way of regarding it in the real world so why not leave it at that!
Excuse me while I jump on my `Suzuki 1400 Commuter Sports Tourer Muscle Bike`...... or should have said `Grand Sport eXperimental` 1400!  :rofl2:

Hooli

At least that fairing matches the rest of the bike (modern & ugly) unlike the Triumph one where they got a modern bike & rode it into a 1960's dustbin.

GSXKING

@DP1400 you've described our bike to a tee  :hat: It does a lot of things really well, from scratching through the twisties to long distance straight line touring.

However, no manufacturer will be able to replace our beloved GSX1400 and they know it.

I'm just happy Suzuki has brought some new ideas to use up all those 2005 GSXR1000 motors up

I have found all my big Suzuki's (Kat 11, Bandit 12 & GSX1400) have been on the thirsty side, about 17-18km/L at best. Some of the rides I did back in the 80's early 90's were 300km between fuel stops and required a 5 litre tin of fuel ready just in case.

Modern bikes are a lot better on fuel than 14s generally, the closed loop fuelling allows them to run leaner in cruise without risk of damage as theycan self adjust to stay safe.

My Triumph Sprint GT & my mate's Versys 1000 both have 21 litre tanks & ridden at the same speed we also ride 14s will get near 220 miles before reserve, neither of us can get a 14 past 160-180miles before reserve.

@Hooli
Thats the sort of mileage I get out off the Mk1 Bandit and its a lot worse than the 14. I must be riding too slow.
