German bloke just the road, didnt believe in saving for retirement. Early 90s he started collecting collectibles as his nest egg. Part of his bikes are 13 SS Ducati bevel. Has CBX in his lounge. Built a coffee table around it. Has 87ks, that is 87 only, not thousand. Id say his profit margin better than bank interest.

I have started doing Motorcycle Instruction on Saturdays and returned the GSX1400 to a working life.
An easy 2 lessons today, one of them was their third lesson and first on the road, people are so enthralled by their first road ride, it's great to watch. 🏍
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

I had a day off today so after watching the motorbike show last night I decided to visit the sammy miller motorcycle museum at New Milton in Hampshire, what a place !! . Full of old British bikes, especially the Norton room,  :notworthy: well worth the trip down. The only downside was I refused to pay £5.50 for a ham roll (bap) and £4 for a slice of cake!!.. I took some pics although it was only of some Italian beauty's .

Sammy is from my neck of the woods, never met him but I did have his exhaust system on my 1980 Honda XL250 back in the day.

XL 250 Motorsport was a very popular choice of bike back in the day...... when l first got my license I had an F11 Kawasaki.
My dad was a successful trials rider in the 50's. Fella called Don Smith was a family friend. (I remember he always had a fag in his mouth) Kawasaki gave him the F11 to make a trials bike out of. Don sold it to my dad and designed a ground up trials bike for Kawasaki. Sammy Miller and Don were great rivals. Think Sammy had the better of that rivalry.
Funny to see Sammy's name mentioned on here a couple of times in posts over the last couple of days.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Kiwifruit

Went for my usual trip to Cambridge to see dad for Father's day...... my birthday too.
Anyway we are in level 3 lockdown and I'm thinking what is the difference between level 4 and level 3. I've figured it out. Level 3 is level 4 but with drive through KFC and Macca's, queues around the block.
Massive upside is that on my essential trip to visit father bear there was hardly any traffic except for other motorcyclists out on essential  rides..... and a freaking camera van parked in the shadows.
The Kaimai Ranges were good fun, able to tighten the wire a bit more, often the traffic is quite heavy but today deserted.
Great day out  :onya:

Took a ride out to Boonah and Lake Maroon via Rathdowney on the way home. There is a great bakery in Boonah main street.
