About 19 years ago I joined the original GSX1400 org and have been a member and owner ever since. I've bought & sold a few over the years but in that time I've really owned just two of them, a blue/white K2 that Jacek killed @ 98000kms and the current B/W K5 with 196000kms.

Sadly that K5 gets delivered to it's new owner today so for the first time in 60 years I don't own a motorcycle. Now this being a 1400 owners club can I still contribute but just be an associate member maybe?

A few photo's from the first to the last & a few in between.

If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Well I guess that makes me an associate member as well Pete as I sold my GSX1400 back in 2016.

So absolutely stick around and join us club of associates. Place wouldn't be the same without you  :onya:

Thanks for the kind words guys. It looks like I'll have to hang around a bit longer & continue being a PITA.  :stir:

Well it looks like my days as an associate member are over as today I bought a very nice Special Edition. All that's needed is to arrange transport from Melbourne to Sydney then fit that pristine OEM twin system that I've saved for such an occasion.

Any advice on buying interstate and arranging transport?  I've looked at bikes from other states at times and considered buying them, but thought it all too difficult..  mainly in regards to arranging payment etc and then pickup by a bike courier..

Snapey

I used Allwest Motorcycle Carriers when I sold the K5 but I left it to the buyer to organise payment so maybe best to give them a call ....  02 9603-2979. ATM though the next delivery from Melbourne is about two weeks away so once the money I transferred has cleared I'll go for a drive.

Regards buying sight unseen it's a bit of a lottery as you're hoping the seller is being honest. Get all the photo's you can & if possible see if there's someone local that can look for you. I'm fortunate that the bike and owner are known to a couple of members of the org and over 20 high res photo's were sent so I'm confident it's OK.

Please head over to the bar to introduce yourself  :rofl2:
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
