Thats great news Snapey. Lets hope its perfect. Will be after your magic.Ive been trying to buy FE off local, he rides it but no love, annoys me as could be made so nice. Eric, have transported twice, seamless operation. Used Tasmania Motorcycle Transporters, brilliant. Not sure if they go WA. Owner Carolynn is a 14 owner, think from memory shes done over 300 th ks on her bike.Might not be correct but know its lots.

Glad to see you're sticking around @Snapey :onya:

So that now means there are at least three associate members on here including myself and @gsxbarmy  :imrgreen:

I don't like not having a bike, but it's good to stick around to give advice where I can and also join in the banter.
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

Well it looks like my days as an associate member are over as today I bought a very nice Special Edition. All that's needed is to arrange transport from Melbourne to Sydney then fit that pristine OEM twin system that I've saved for such an occasion.

When that twin system goes on, it's no longer a Special Edition.

Yeah it is, it's a Special - Special Edition, even more rare.    :onya:

I think it's how the SE should have left the factory but the single bazooka system will be kept in case you give me an offer for the bike that I can't refuse.

Well I have two SE's,  a K5 with twin pipes, and I have a k7 with Givi screen, rack and top box from showroom.
I was thinking of buying the last model SE but it's not my birthday yet.

Help me, dumb old prick. Difference between SE and FE. Were they both in Oz.

Don't forget the LE grog.

This should tell you about the final edition (FE)
Is this the last model year for the GSX1400? For some countries it is. Suzuki UK just announced (in May 2006) that because of the Euro III emissions regulations coming into force at the end of 2006, the 2006-year's model of the GSX1400 will be Suzuki's last traditional muscle bike for the UK market. GSX1400 celebrates its last year of production for the UK market with a special model, the GSX1400 Final Edition, available from authorized Suzuki dealers in UK. Although featuring a Yoshimura dual cone exhaust system and a limited edition graphic these machines the GSX1400FE can be bought at the standard retail price.

The Limited Edition I know nothing about but I think came in black or blue/white.

The Special Edition is no different to the others only that it comes in a unique colour scheme and was sold only in OZ & NZ.

The new toy arrived today & is better than I thought although there's a couple of things that aren't perfect. One is a couple of light scrapes on the tail piece caused by the useless Ventura rack & bag that I hope will buff out. The other is a mistake Suzuki made when they designed the Special Edition ... single side exhaust but that's being changed once I get the proper footrest.

Where on earth would you find an oem lh footrest hanger with exhaust lug?
I wonder .........

I thought the same thing Pete but one of my mates works at Suzuki Aust & he told me it's in stock. He said to give him a list of the parts I want ... so I am. :)

That's great, Snapey.
You're lucky to have such good mates.
Also, amazing to think they still have them in stock.
All the best with the new bike, looks great.

Hooli

With Suzuki prices they are probably more than buying an early bike to nick one off.
