Hi folks
here are some pictures of my 2003 K3, bought used with 62000 km on the tacho.
Original color was blue, and now it is, well, a mix of the colours I like more.
Modifications I've done are a lot, but budget was reasonable.
Driving her is a pleasure.
Hope you like the monster

Cheers from Italy and thank you all for the kind support here on the forum for my questions.
Reading quite all the posts was really fun and I've learned a lot, and will go ahead reading and posting.

A truly mixed bag of fruit    Nice bike though, I've seen you posting for a while, didn't realise we hadn't seen your bike yet. Is it inappropriate to ask the purchase price in Italy ?  :whatever: :whatever:

Vey nice bike!

Did the headlight fit straight into the original bowl without any problems? Looks very nice

Cheers

That's about $4500 AUD.

Always interesting to compare sales in the different countries. Easy to find out what people are asking but what they are paying counts. A very good 😊 buy.

A note here about the LED headlight.
While connection was very easy, I had to change the enclosure and purchase one especially made for LEDs, here

Let me add here another interesting tool I've recently added to the beast.
It is a 12V Led battery level monitor I installed on the right side of the bike, and it works as follows
- on the road: constant green if all is ok. Flashing red + green means alternator failure (e.g. overcharging!). Dropping to yellow means your system is heavily loaded (heated gloves, etc).
- When parked or stored, you see flashing green, yellow or red for battery 'idle' status, and this is nice when bike is parked since it's like you have an alarm
- Power Consumption : 10mA nominal on the road, 0.5mA when parked - essentially nothing

@Athelstanexxx looks like a handy little gadget, where did you mount it & do you have any pictures of it fitted to the bike?

Cheers

Pete

KiwiCol

That's the same thing that gsxbarmy uses & showed us a while back.  Pretty sure he even said how to mount it.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Athelstanexxx

Yes I learnt from him. Mine is installed on the right side of the bike, on the ugly black triangular panel just below the silver GSX1400 text.
Will take pictures and show here as soon as possible.

Here's the tiny thing
It's simply connected to red and black of the battery.
