Its a pity 14 didnt come with OBD 2 plug. We would have a lot more tuning gadgets to talk about. They sell a gadget around here, for diesel utes/ svu etc. $299 fitted. All it does is change throttle ratio, about 1/3 quicker. They all rave about increased performance. It does nothing except they move their foot less. Placebo affect. All the diesel blokes buy lots.

Years ago when I had a Tdi Landy I did the same mod on a mechanical pump. By turning the fueling pin it richened up quicker as you put your foot down. But then I tweaked the base adjuster so it had more fueling off boost so there wasn't a dead spot when crawling slowly off road & turned up the max fueling screw so it didn't run out of extra power halfway down the pedal. I wound the boost up from 12psi to 21psi too...

Nothing really changes except how you make the same mods.

Way back in 1986, Holden Commodore/ Nissan Skyline. 6 cyl injected. ECU had a screw, two LED near it. Green was rich, Red was lean. Just hold whatever revs, adjust screw until both blinking, perfect fuelling. So simple and worked. I guess it was not employed afterwards as no one making money off it.

I fun on normal grade pumped fuel.
I do use premium grade fuel ever now and that's to give the injection system a clean as it has more cleaning additives but for general riding about standard grade fuel is just fine .
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too
