Bike all back together. So clean dont want to ride it. All bearings feel perfect, will be nice with new tyre. Rear pads next, then the front. Bike shop sells Goldfren pads, he reckons good. Hes very honest as knows i send him work. Metal Gear have been good but 23th ks a short life. Anyone used Goldfren?

That'd be a crapload (technical term) of brake dust, so bad.  I had goldfrens on my Daytona 675, same issue, lots and lots (I.e craploads) of dust.  M
Not my cup of tea.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Goldfrens, ill forget them. What about DP, made in England. Anyone used them. Local Suzuki bloke sells them, reckons good.

I use Brenta, cheap Italian GG organic pads. They last, work in all weathers and only fade slightly when worked bloody hard down Alpine roads.

It's currently in at the shop getting a new fuel pump, fork seals plus a tune & service to the sum of $1700.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

Wow! That's a big bill. What's causing most of that cost? Original Suzuki fuel pump? What does a "tune" involve?

VladTepes

Hopefully for that price its a dynotune !

As for what I did to my bike (last night) see my bike thread in sig block.

Fuel pump and fork seals replaced & refurbished are the major damage, tune and service will also include fluid changes. It's been about 4 years since it's last birthday.

Yesterday I did 200 miles in mud to get my bike back to the correct colours. It was a lovely day out in the sun as we're due rain all weekend.
