Not high but higher than some 1400's will have at about 40 years old.

Hooli

Good work with the trip meter too.

I'll probably never be a high miler on my 1402 but I put all these kilometres on my GS1000G.

Hopefully 7 is a lucky number.

The last 50,000 kilometres as a VJMC member and a few with Irish and his 1400 and XJ900.

A seemingly meaningless number, but it means 150k miles done since I started the test ride the day before I bought this bike on Oct 2007. I wonder if it'll do the same again, it feels like it will so far.

grog

Incredible effort Hooli.  :clapping:Highest 14 ive ever heard of was 312 th ks, 194 th miles. Youll beat that. Story goes timing chain let go, who knows what really happened, how it was serviced etc.

Hooli

By the time I've paid off enough debts to buy a new bike, I should be up to about 250k on this one. Last time I checked the timing chain it was fine, so I think it'll get there.

Oh & I found a pic from 18th Aug 2019 showing 136k, so it seems I've done 21k in the last year.

Hooli

Just thought I'd update this thread again as she earned herself a service and wash again today.

@Hooli

Nice one. That's an impressive mileage count. Must be just about run in now :onya:
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

Hooli

Aye @froudy, I think I can take it to 4k now. You can't rush running these in.

Big Phil

That's incredible Hooli you have my upmost respect. I would probably say that's way more mileage than I have covered in my entire life time on bikes. I'm no spring chicken either and have put a good few miles on bikes. Is that all your doing and is someone else involved? Either way that's a shit load of miles for a bike🤗

Mrg

I am hoping mine never gets to 100000 as I don't won't her to get old lol
look check and look again  then you see the fool

I'm bloody glad that they last as I seriously can't think of something without at least one, and mostly more than one compromise for a tall, fat  dodgy kneed Cranky old Bastard That hates being buffeted and cooked in summer to replace it with

I got it in Oct 2007 & it had 7,452 miles on before I test rode it.

Big Phil

Well Hooli that's awesome and will take some beating. Just a note my Mrs is a Donny girl and she has a whole tribe of uncles and aunts still there who we still visit. Great down to earth humourless (sorry humorous 😂) people in Yorkshire but one thing they always expect is to get their money's worth. Your certainly doing that with your bike👏👏👏
