Bang on, thats exactly what its about - forget buying a brand `cause its the `in` helmet to be seen in.

I fell into that trap years ago when AGV`s were all the rage. I bought one. Worst thing ever. It drove me mad so i junked it after a couple of months. It wasn`t cheap either. Trouble is, trying on a helmet in a shop doesn`t come close to actually riding in it.

Personally, i think its better to find the right brand that you`re comfortable with and sticking with it. I bought my first HJC years ago and swear by them. My wife and I have similar mid-range HJC`s to this day and i see no reason to replace them (eventually!) with anything other than the same. :onya:

You'll soon see what a full power should be .
I'd guess a yoshi cam'd gsx1400 is how it was originally designed before the bureaucrats and penny pushers got involved .

New lid has provision for pinlock so maybe wont need anymore.

I wear a Shoei GT-Air with a pinlock. Often mists up on cold mornings @grog no matter what I do, so I've just purchased one of these masks to try to supplement it to stop both that AND my glasses misting up in rain. Not sure that pinlocks are all they are cracked up to be

Your pinlock must not be sealed / seated right Dave.  They absolutely do work, but I've also had the same symptoms you describe & turns out the inner screen wasn't seated properly.  Dunno how it got like that as it was seated originally, but there ya go.

Took pinlock off, cleaned both areas, new locking pins & re-installed.  All good again.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Dave l wear a GT-Air. Mine did the same. Was told those pins are like cams and you can rotate them to give the pinlock seal more tension against the visor.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Oooh thanks handy to know thanks Colin, I'll see if I can tweak mine

I was never overly impressed with pinlocks either, they help but don't cure things. Mine used to mist up on the inside (so nothing to do with it's seals) in a vertical line in front of my right eye. Exactly what lids without pinlocks do too, so it must be how I breathe.

I've solved it by riding open face all year & just sliding the glasses down my nose a bit.

l swear by my pinlock visor. l wear glasses and the trip from home to Wanganui for the Boxing Day Street races is 360kms. Stopped once for gas and a coffee, took my helmet off. Other than that not once did l open my visor. The weather was that foul they closed the road not long after l passed through. There was water coming off the hills and cascading onto the middle of the road. l'm a pinlock convert.
Hooli had you considered using a snorkel ?

I have, but only with clip-ons so I can get my face under the water when riding though floods.
