Aldi's snow skiing/boarding gear is of a very high standard and great value for money for someone who only ski's once a year for a week or two.

Their motorcycle gear is not too bad bud it's low level Pakistan produced leather. IMHO I'd prefer RST or other.  :onya:

If you shop there regularly they do have many bargains. And no I don't work for them.  :whatever:

I have several of their paddock stands, none of my bikes are light and they all live up on the stands. Never had a drama with them in years of use.

Aldi bike gloves were a nice fit. I bought them as a spare pair for when mine are wet, but the fingers wore through a bit quick when I started using them.

When I need to paint my hall stairs and landing I used to balance on the bannister and stretch. Getting too old now so decided to buy some multi purpose ladders from the USA - little giant Velocity.Didnt go to the local DIY stores as wanted the best advice so off to the local ladders only firm. Anyway they were £300 with vat so not cheap. Anyway, as we were about to pay this guy comes in and says hello to Mrs Notty, seems she taught his children in infants skool to read and rite - he tells the guy serving us give us band E discount, the guys eyebrows went right up, he told us after the guy had been the owner and he had never seen that sort of discount given before. Got them for £201 - what a result !!  :)
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Great discount alright, you'd be well pleased with that.  Good multi purpose things those type of ladder, not only good for painting awkward areas but are a great aid to mounting the 14 Notty. :whistling: :happy1:

It's the 21st of August and my local supermarket has both Hot Cross Buns and Fruit Mince Pies on sale.

F#ck tradition !

No complaints here, Happy Easter-Christmas everyone!

KiwiCol

I'm very partial to those myself.   Can't say I've seen them in ours yet, but we're still getting hot cross buns - chocolate ones are superb.

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

When I'm having Red (which is right now) I select a quality Shiraz or Merlot.   Merlot tonight gentlemen.

Dusty ST

Bought a mains powered Impact wrench form Machine Mart as my mate forgot to let me borrow his before going on holiday.

Now I can have a 450Nm crack at that front sprocket nut at the weekend!
In the picture it looks like a power drill with a 1/2" drive, but in practice it's much more of a hefty monster

Just used the impact driver to remove the 46mm rear wheel nut on my Sprint... what a beast!
My only comment would be I'd like a variable speed control rather than the shock and awe/hit it with everything start up.
Too hot today to be doing more more bike work, so the front socket nut will stay till another day.
