Snapey, does it run with a squirt of carby cleaner/wd40 into airbox? Injector pulse can be checked with Noid light. Fuel pressure obviously with gauge but should also feel rubber hose swell slightly. I know youll sort it but these could narrow down prob.

@Snapey
Is there any one near you who could come over and swop tanks to help test your bike then you'll be able to narrow down the fault to tank or elsewhere on the bike very quickly .
I've done this with our bikes and helps me to stop chasing my ass looking for a fault in  the wrong place  :onya:

My other bike sits three steps away Seth with 22 litres in the tank. I was going to try that tank first but it's so bloody heavy to throw around. At least by swapping tanks I'll answer the question about the HP filter.

A full tank is a bit heavy of you can put it on a stand or something then remove the small pipe to the fuel pump you can drain a fair bit of fuel easily into a container.
But not easy with a full tank.

The stupid part is that I just put the tank back on. I was using the B/W as reference for the wiring on the R/B.

IT LIVES AGAIN

It now has the B/W tank on & it fired first press of the button so it looks like these things need that high pressure filter. No doubt not attaching the external filter was a stupid thing to do after drilling the bypass but I was anxious to hear it run.

How much shit got to the injectors only time will tell.

It's getting close now. I painted the wheels & calipers today but I'll give the wheels a couple of days for the paint to harden before I fit the tyres. Once the wheels and brakes are on I can fit the exhaust & then sort the body work. There's a bit to be done to the tank but the front guard & ducktail I'm hoping to block & clear coat.

I am thoroughly impressed with your work thus far, really cant wait to see the finished product

Black wheels .... something has to change. :thumbs_down:I've ordered some red tape to hopefully do something but plain black wheels look like shit. When I was cleaning the rotors I contemplated doing them gold. I should have.

I'll leave it as is for now & get the bodywork finished & hopefully the rim tape will have arrived by then so I can see the final picture.

The rim tape will look great on that Pete  ;)

I just have a thing about black Steve. The red /black don't look too bad although I prefer the graphics of the K5 over the K4 but I find the wheels & rotors add too much black. Rim tape definitely adds some colour but IMO it needs more. I'm going to try the front wheel off the B/W to see how it looks. With the candy red centres on that wheel, gold rotors & polished edges that might be the way to go but I want to see it on the bike..

I had to laugh today because I fitted a bazooka and No. 1 son came in & spotted it. His reaction was priceless. That's disgusting & what were Suzuki thinking come to mind. I tend to agree.

I think the red/black looks stunning with red wheels. See http://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=4370.0
