Yesterday I started the winter build of my b/w 14.
I'd already removed the front end and rubbed down and de-rusted the front of the frame as it was getting a bit rough.
Painted in primer rubbed down then 2nd coat yesterday.
Today I've added 1st coat of black it'll need a rub down when dry and another coat .
(Painting not my strong point but getting it on nice and thick and hopefully smooth were it's seen)
The paint work for the bike is going to be done by someone who knows what they are doing over the winter.
I'll post pics once I start getting into the good stuff (thug yokes , extended bking forks/bking brakes and master cyclinders)

Your not alone @sioux zookeeper
Loads of folk make this mistake thesedays I've gone a month with out an mot last year as with 3 bikes and 2 cars in our house it's difficult to keep track of all the mot's since the end of the tax disc as they used to fall at simular times .
Now put them all on a year planner to try and keep up with them .
Not the plod don't no if anyone on here is
The emoji thing here works if you leave a space before and after it .

No MOT's here. Owning multiple cars and bikes that REALLY suits me just fine!

.... and dispite what others claim, I've lived in the UK and AU and still travel between the two, there honestly isn't a great deal of difference between the standard of vehicles on the road.

Today:

Bought two cans of chain lube. Gave the 14's chain a squirt.

Put the battery charger onto the 14, checked the tyre psi, after about 15 minutes got it to start. Ran it for 10 muinits. Put the battery charger on trickle charge as the bikes been sat unused for a while.

Had a look at how dirty and rough it was, just gave everything that's supposed to move a squirt of WD40 and left it.

If I'm awake early I might take it out tomorrow and bore you with some more ride pics.

I'm still undecided on its (or my B-Kings) future but they are safe until next year at least.

You mean for the next 5 weeks then Tony.

Around that.

I can find the funds for another bike in between 3 to 5 weeks time.

One bike I like might be available in Feb, one is available now.
I'm still going to try a couple more.

Not sure about having multiple old bikes / projects I never get around too.

Tony, what about zx10 Kawas, those newies are nice. All the goodies, unbeakable but do have fairing. Mate went from Busa to one, loves it. Been all over Oz on it.

I took the saddle off my 14 today, so I could get the 1/4" socket set that lives under it. Then I used that to fix the car before putting it back.

Great that it was only a 1/4 drive sized problem with the Jag Hooli.  :stir:

The headlight mounts are buggered & bodged together, it's a known weak point on this model. The 1/4" drive was just to get the grill off to rebodge the lights into a better condition :)
