I fitted the sw motech luggage racks and my new Givi panniers , there nice and small and about the same width as the bars so if the bars go through the hole bike goes through

Went for the run I said I would, couple of hundy k's out & back. Gave the bike an oil change before we set off, Gulf Western Syntex 3000.   Yep, it is as smooth as I've been reading about.  Well done Grog & KF.

I'll put some pics up, went to Rakaia, inland to Methven, through the Rakaia Gorge (bit icy on the roads in the shade there) & home via Darfield. Bike went great.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

KiwiCol

Just out of Rakaia on Thompsons Track, heading inland

At Methven,

Heading to the Gorge, Mt Hutt in the background

Just prior to crossing the river

Just after the gorge, looking back at it

So that was my run today, really cold when I got home, very hot shower to thaw out.  Might be needing some medicinal beer very shortly!  Cheers guys.

Wife and I have been talking about places to visit.
We have both travel a bit over the years.

Two places I've never been are Tasmania and NZ.

I'm always interested when folk post up there pics.
Even a normally day out pic can be a lot different to where the guy seeing it posted is used to.

Nice pics Col. Looks like a great day for a ride.
I really enjoy the pics fellas put up of their rides too Tony.
Can recommend NZ for a visit. Could even shout you a lemonade  :onya:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

So today I had the day to myself, (no jobs to do, wife on a Rhine creuse) so I thought I would copy a few leads on here, first the chain tension copying the excellent video Andre put up, cheers buddy, my chain was waaaay too tight.

Secondly I set up the rear wheel alignment with calipers (and I can't remember who suggested it) but what a brilliant trick, so simple yet so effective.

Thirdly, fitted the new Levers from Seth, cheers buddy they look great.

And lastly, a little 5 hr trip around the Limousin and Indry regions, followed by 40 mins in the new (wood fired) hot tub.

Sausages and wine for supper.
If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

I may get to that number in around 5 years time !  :bugga:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

KiwiCol

So what's your mileage show Notty?

That'd be an interesting new thread, we know Hooli has the highest mileage (from memory), so who's got the lowest?  NOT that 700 mile thing on UK E-Bay either . . .

Not me, my clock shows about 12500 but it was replaced 6 years ago and that one showed about 12500 as well.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Today, payed my rego, $494. set for another year. thinking about next little project. just replaced air filter, k&n, seems to rev much nicer. cleaned fuel filter. my brake lines are still all rubber, . they work perfectly but maybe better with braided. next job, new lines, pads and check calipers?new rear tyre soon, have done the tuning thing on rear springs, both sound same. reluctant to spend money on brakes, they stop so well. should i fix what is not broken.

Hooli

I've ridden 14s with & without braided lines & never felt the advantage. Mine still has the original lines, stops fine etc so why would I change them?

shanered6

mine are still original as well and im sure the braided ones are better but i will stick with the orginals till i need to change brake fluid and will decide then weather to change or not  :whatever:
