While away last week my front brake light switch stopped working .
Took it apart today and found the micro switch had stuck in but past where it activated the light .
Once cleaned and pulled out to unstick it and lubbed now all working as it should again.

Had to take mine apart as well. Something inside had fallen apart due to weak tension of the thingy that held it together. Bend it a little bit, put the whole thing together again, maybe good for another 16 years  :)

Put the 1400 on trickle charge and took the King over the bay for breakfast.

Im loving these Queensland winter mornings.

I still don't know what to do with it, keep it, sell it, turn it into my dragbike, or...

.

grog

Id be keeping it, looks awesome. Must be an unreal ride.

Tony Nitrous

It's good fun but I'm not using it that much.

I want to do more touring / longer rides and it's not great.

I want to have another crack at the drags and I can get a Gen-1 Busa for a lot less money.

I do enjoy it when I ride it though....  ???

Made fork bracket for side mount steering dumper ....

Looking nice!  :onya:
As always, looking forward, to see your solution!

ARH

@Vici - maybe I missed it in another thread...but why do you want to fit a steering damper?

1. Due to look, like side mount steering dumper
2. Help with closing the handlebars in corners when front tire is on the end of life
3. Safer wheelie landing

Evening all...

This trip hasn't gone to plan really. I did ride the highest road in europe, col de bonette but it's all gone wrong since.
The following day my rear pr4 gt delaminated around the entire circumference of the RH side. That explains why it felt like the tyre was slipping and wouldn't turn right. I found out when it burst on the Italian motorway. ..
Yay wasted a day getting a new tyre on but back on the road for a bit.
Two days anyway as the stator then burnt out on the Slovenian border. It took three days! To get the bike 40mins to a dealer in Villach Austria who should fix it. That was this morning. Tonight I walked past the dealer at gone 9pm to find a shop. Lucky I did really as my bike was parked out front with they keys in!

Obviously I was a touch annoyed even before I saw the keys and have had a slight* rant at my breakdown people about it.
My bike is now at my hotel so it's secure and I'm expecting a call in the morning to resolve things. All I want is the bike taking home. I'm sick of paying for hotels for a holiday I'm not getting and tonight was the last straw.
I'm seriously thinking of hiring a van tomorrow and driving it hone as I don't trust these idiots with my bike at all. I'll then go to the small claims court to get my money back as they've not provided  the service paid for.

seth

Hopefully you get it sorted and get back home with no more problem.
If your insurance recovery folk don't want to bring your bike home .I'd get a van as planned as I've heard horror stories about bikes coming back from that part of the world.
Good luck buddy .
