What should I do with my old helmet... ?

Well tomorrow, all going well, I should have my new Shoei.

What should I do with my old helmet?

It's a touch over 6 years old, is starting to shed the liner and sometimes smells like off milk... 

Should I keep it as a 'spare'?
I've never had need of a spare helmet in the last 6 years so perhaps there's no point and it would just be another useless bit of crap taking up space.

Should I destroy it in the name of science?

Should I destroy it in the name of humour?  (I could shoot it or something)

I like the destruction for science idea Mike.  How about seeing how hard (or something) you have to hit it to break it & where / how does it break?

Be interesting to see how it actually does stand up & what / how they break.

I have a shelf in the bike garage dedicated to 'old gear' - The boots and helmets of past years in the dirt and the hundreds of thousands of miles on many bikes - Make me reminisce every time I look at it!

Not sure out here, but in the UK helmet spray painters always wanted them for practice work.  Interestingly custom helmets aren't as popular out here as they were amongst folk I knew in the UK.
