Continuing - So what did you do to your bike today...?

Well, I was thinking of sorting out some sort of 'quick release system' for it and the other 2 bits.   Like a 'stay put' fastener on a cover, or heavy duty Velcro?  But, I don't want anything there that would look out of the ordinary & draw unwanted attn. to said items.

Got myself a Hel oil cooler today.. didn't need it but oh well. Boredom internet shopping. I need to go home and put my bike back together now. Only 2 1/2 months to go

I washed mine today, it had lumps of salt on from the trip to Scotland a month ago... then I took it out for 50mile or so to get it mucky enough to be mine again.

I was going to recover the seat, but I've managed to lose the material I got to do it. So that job has to wait till it turns up, which is annoying.

Fitted a pair of Delkevic stainless tri-oval cans. If I had a quid for every time I had to stand up walk backwards to check they both matched - I reckon I'd have over 100 quid...

Look great though. Quality kit. Goes with new Delkevic collector.

Whilst on a roll. Stripped and cleaned rear calliper and fitted new stainless bleed nipples. And royally skinned my knuckle in the process. Bleed nipple too tight - spanner slipped. Only noticed when I saw Latex glove full of blood. Bollocks. Gone down to the bone. Double bollocks. Stopped whilst I was on a roll...

Do you know how much the Delkevic collector (maybe the headers too) weigh?

Andre - I have just posted a SBS/BW collector this week (identical). Just a smidgeon under 2.7KG. The Delkevic was virtually identical. A set of SS headers are in region of 4-5KG.

I had a SBS collector fitted for years. I preferred the look of the Delkevic collector - as it has the side covers like the OEM. And so far have stayed stainless steel colour!

I like them as well.... but they don't have type approval for use here and when I spoke with them it was clear they have no interest in that

Shame cos I've just took a pair of stainless oval (short) Beowulf road legal cans off... apart from where the missus has scuffed the can with her rubber heels - are prefect. I bought her proper boots. But, she insists on putting fashion boots with heels on.

That's bloody awful alright!  But, IMO, that's not the result of a bike accident, more like getting caught in a wood chipper or the likes.

Its called "degloving" injury (in this case desocking would be more fitting), fairly common in bike accidents when the "victim" didn't wear protective gear. Skin with underlying tissue gets ripped off, like taking a glove off. Wood chipper injuries mangle a bit more (seen them too).

Did the tank mod so now fills faster.

Talked to the bike and told it i will clean it at the weekend !!
