A Triumph GSX 1400 mmmm, does that count as cross dressing  :whistling:
Triumph make the best clothing for my shape and the 14 is the best bike  :)

Personally I think it absolutely a sacriledge  that a Triumph jacket could be so defaced but then I might be a little biased  :whistling: :whistling: :stir:
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

To be honest, I liked polished look very much. I even do not have problem cleaning polished parts every time after the bike wash. But having rennteck engine bars, make it very hard to access engine cases for polishing... I would like to chrome those covers, but unfortunately we do not have proper chrome shops anymore here. Custom bike builders from my country, send their parts to Finland to chrome... And its not cheap.
So I chose second best option (for me) - painting polished parts white. Cost me 2 evenings ~12€, and I still have paint to paint swing arm (may be :) ) ...

Going white - I even was thinking painting exhaust headers white, but didn't like the result, so grind paint of and make them bling again...
You may see headers look in my signature gallery...

Ha ha thanks Northern, I can't see anything negative to say about those images 😀
Seriously though it's great to see fresh ideas, I'll have look at those headers 👍

I like working with different finishes together, so I'm testing half an engine case in Satin and half gloss at the moment 👍

Black in case you were wondering ✊

wish you were here to paint my clutch cover, couple of scratches. been contemplating on it quite a while. polish? get a window fitted? get body shop across road to paint? powdercoat, means removing sight glass? just rub down myself, spray can it? im very good with spray can, done heaps of bits. still not sure

Red Biker

Hi Grog,
For what it costs There's no harm in having a go with cans. If it doesn't work out get them powder coated.
My HTP of choice is the Plastkote BBQ, very forgiving and comes with a technical nozzle. Only comes in Black though 😀

I'd spray it personally with a high temp black paint, masking off the sight window.

Having seen your pics Northern, I see what you mean, just doesn't seem to work, with the colour scheme on your bike and I know I would say this  :whistling:  But black headers would look great I think  :onya:
