Pleased I stopped for fuel and didn't try to go any further. Thought I'd fill her up.
Ooops nearly pushing
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I have a fuel pressure gauge in my bike for certain reason. I have noticed that the fuel pressure starts to wobble when 19 liters is used,
even she runs ok.
So, it may not be safe for fuel pump to use those last three liters?.

KiwiCol

That's a big drink for the girl Col!    Cheaper gas up there than we get down here, we're over $2.00 a litre for 91 & about $2.15 for 95.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Geez KF, you were cutting that bloody close

As T 24 has already mentioned, probably not a good idea to run it that low if you can help it.
You have been a bad boy, so go sit in the corner on the naughty chair (but take a beer with you)   ;)

Mick_J

Wish we could get fuel that cheap
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

What's it cost where you are Mick?     Aussie get it much cheaper than NZ too.

Don't know about the fuel pump. But riding pleasure can certainly suffer. My current 14 has never had less than 4 liters in it. My first (brand spanking new) had problems with less than 3 liters when ripping the throttle fully open while going up steep hill.

T 24

I have not tried to use full throttle, while fuel pressure is wobbling. I dont want to burn holes to my pistons.

Andre

Wouldn't either. That's why she stays plenty fueled. Just normal driving puts enough Gs into the game to cause pressure fluctuation by low fuel level (as you noticed through pressure gauge).

grog

thats really low mate. not sure most ive put in, been scary couple of times.

Your fuel works out at about £0.93/ltr, we pay about £1.18/ltr, that's a over a fiver per tank full.

Its rare that I run it that low. Only had 276k's up, dont usually look for gas till 300k's shows. I guess it was a bit shy when i filled it last.
Interesting point about the fuel pressure. Will keep that in mind. I'm also starting to wonder if she's running a bit rich. The pipe looks quite black.  No complaints about the bikes performance.
Still get silly grin face....every time i ride it.

Small item but I wish they would standardize the colour coding of the pump/nozzles. Not a problem if you never leave your country but when biking around the world one has to double check all the time.

I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

Whats the capacity of the tank in these things?....I regularly run it till the last fuel indicator bar is on & flashing resulting in 20+Ltrs going in....figured it was at least a 25L capacity....
