Right-o, noted...id say the last 5+ fills ive put in over 20L....must have been real close to stopping...Ill be a little more conscientious of my fuel management from here on in...

 300k from full is when i start looking for gas. But i must have been a bit shy of full last time and thats why i nearly got caught out.

yeah mate, you mustnt have filled. my first bar always starts flashing around 310-320 ks. 6 l left. most ive done is 410, nearly 22l to fill. scary.

Ok, when you guys fill, what is your cut off point.
I stop when the fuel starts hitting the internal filler tube (if you know what I mean) but I'm sure I can keep going.

I fill up to the internal filler tube. That gives me a good mark to measure fuel consumption. Also, I won't go higher as the fuel expands when getting warmer and I don't want to lose even a drop of the precious stuff.

Yours is much more economical than mine Grog, 310 - 320 & I've got both flashing! I'm out. No way I could get 400K out of a tank.

I fill mine right to the top each time, basically up to the cap as I'm usually going somewhere & it won't be sitting around with a tank filled to that extent.

Fill mine to the cap then ride,  l dont fill it and park it.
Years ago I was at Amaroo for the Castrol 6 hour. It was all the go to try and freeze fuel to get more in. Well it was cold and pissed down all day. Many bikes were getting round with a hard frost on their tanks. Very unpleasant !!
