I changed new rear brake pads, EBC double H. Then test ride, 180 km. Result: Works better than with organic pads.
Yamahas fuel consumption was 5.6L/100 km and Suzukis was 5.7L/100 km.
Maximum speed was 190 km/h.

Rear brake refurb - which has been in the planning for weeks now!
So new disc, pads, hose and seals.
Just need to refill with new fluid tomorrow morning as it's now time for a beer  :smile2:

Filled and bled the new rear brakes, fitted the Renthals from Barmy (thanks Dave  :onya:) months ago, and went for a spin to check it all out.
Renthals are just great for position, but a little vibey. New brakes spot on.
However I see I have a leaking fork seal... time for another beer!

Today I fitted a set of Barkbusters, the Storm series are suitable for naked bikes like the 14. Very easy to fit, hopefully will test them out at tge weekend.

Today I put my bike in the back shed. There it will stay until I can sort out my carer duties and get this bloody shoulder fixed.

If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Been using them for a few years myself  with Oxford heated grips.

Had a knocking/rubbing noise from the front wheel but braking was not effected so I stripped down the brakes, gave them a dam good clean.  Checked and cleaned all the bobbins. Checked and cleaned the pads.  Then I put it all back together with coper slip (in all the right places).  Found nothing wrong but the noise has gone.  :whatever:
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Hi MJ,
After putting mine back together over the winter, I had a really annoying rattle coming from the front end. Took me ages to figure it out but it was new lines on the new clock housing when accelerating hard!!

cheers

From last week- "Just checked it over TWICE as its going for its 9th MOT test this afternoon.
Even though I have checked it over meticulously, and it has never failed, I am still nervous.
Its that weird nervousness you get when being followed by a Police car even though you know you are not speeding and are totally legal"

Phew passed with flying colours. All the tester said was "Init clean"
