Well, after a discovery on my current phone handle bar set up, I pulled the trigger on a Quad Lock system. Lot dearer than I have now, but the charging and heat management are better not to mention the damping, so it's done and on it's way to me, from AU.
Handle bar mount, medium dual pivot, vibration damper and a usb waterproof wireless charging head. $255 AUD which came out as $314 NZD. least now I'm not going to cook my S24 Ultra or shake it's brains out.  The other case was OK I thought, but I did notice it got very hot in there and despite claims, it didn't charge the phone whilst I was using it for Waze, it just supplied enough power to cover Waze, so although the phone didn't loose power, that's not what I thought I had.

You won't be disappointed,  thats what ive got on ze Beemer, works very well.

Cheers Eric, should be a pretty easy straight forward swap.  Looking forward to getting it.   The R3GT is due a service shortly and I'm just organising myself for it, what to do and what I can leave out and what 'extras' I want to do at the same time. I might even take some pic's and put them up here. maybe.

He's currently relocating from Jimboomba to Glen Eagle.
Like a good mechanic, seats is all he's done for 30+ years his work is without peer.
First time I had work done by him was my 1400 seat actually. He absolutely nailed it.

Took my dog to the vets... $407.95
(and there's nothing wrong with him!)

Annual inspection and check over, 2 injections, 3 pills, fleas, paralysis ticks, worms / heart worm, kennel cough etc etc.

Mostly for his own good, partly because it's needed to go into the kennels we use.

He loves peoples when we are out, hates other dogs with a passion. The vet who's a friend of ours asked if we'd wait in the treatment room a minute untill the bigger dogs in reception had gone.

She seemed to think my mutt was going to disassemble them, like he does rats, rabbits, hares, car tyres, door frames and my son's Golden Retriever !

He's only 31kg but he keeps folk out of my yard.

I've had other working dogs, including a larger Cattle Dog, but this one's a bit different, or as I was told "He's not right is he?"   I still love him, the mad b@stard.

The Oxford air seat that I fitted last week, has only, been a partial success.

Sorted out the hip problem but it's forcing me forward, in the saddle and squashing parts on the tank that aren't meant, to be squashed. Oww.

Airhawk arrived today, will fit it to thr 1402 tonight time permitting...

Fairly similar for me Mr Gee, sheepskin & gel seat fitted. Just sat on, haven't ridden. Forces me forward up to tank. Knees now gripping either side of tank. Should be an interesting first trial ride. 🤞

Today bought Chinese copy of Airhawk, experimenting with seat height so wasn't paying $190, will see how it goes.

A mate lent me his he wasn't using only issue was he could only find one strap and it never sat properly on the seat so gave it back. He now tells me he found the other strap so I may give it another go. I'm told very low pressure is the go.

So ive fitted the AH under the 3D mesh seat cover I use (thry do work, airflow under your legs and bum helps. Sitting on the bike in the shed its definitely higher, I've let the pressure down until i can just feel it moving around.  Makes the std seat look almost flat. Will see how it goes, my concern is that it will push me forward into the tank,  which is what Id like to avoid.

Next will try on top of the mesh cover, and lastly removing the mesh cover altogether.

Bought this a while ago, needs new straps now though. Uses a screw valve to inflate using your own breath.

Low pressure is what I have found, to be the best. Too much and I just, slide around all over the place. Not nice.  :onya:

I agree , just enough to mould to your rear, but doesn't bottom out. I also find I'm also higher up which greatly benefits my knees . :onya:

Well let me start with a little sad story...

I took my XJR in for a garage to look at the chassis rail welding needed this year, after nearly two months of trying to find a place that'd even look. It turns out that all the welding I'd had done over the last several years was crap & coming apart, rotting etc etc. No way was I paying for everything to be done again so it needed to go. It's been sold as 'spares or repair' & the guy is collecting it Sunday.

I'd been looking around for a cheap sensible diesel estate car to replace it, as that'd be so much more practical for me. Well yeah, urrm I got distracted with something that came up when looking for estates. Enter a cheap Alfa 159 Sportwagon, but it is a diesel & it is an estate! It's come home tonight but won't be used till Saturday when I tax it.

Guess I'll find out just how bad Italian can be without needing to buy a Ducati after all.
