Quote from: Eric GSX1400K3 on Tuesday, 30 June  2026, 12:59 PMYes, one edge or lip is thicker, can't recall which end goes to the rear, but as long as both edges of the same thickness are facing the same way, the holes and therefore the axle should line up.  I think mine has the thick edges facing the rear. Will check.
sign of senility, replying to myself...checked and on mine the lip on both blocks face the adjuster bolts. Means the thicker face is facing forward and the adjusters bear on that.  Wheel alignment is good.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Quote from: grog on Tuesday, 30 June  2026, 05:17 PMEric, fitted new clutch lever and bush few weeks back.Took all the wear out, funnily as now clutch takes up further out. Takes a bit to get used to, only maybe 10mm but we are fussy mongrels us humans. 😎
fitted new levers both sides last night, as well as new clutch microswitch and mc boot, as the old one was torn.  Dab of grease inside the boot on the push pin, and new brass bushing completed the set.

Most noticeable is the lack of vertical movement in the new levers, nice and smooth action pulling them into the bars, no flopping up and down.  The wear on the old levers is quite significant. No wear in the perch.  You get new bolts for the pivot mount as well, so no slop there either.

Lubed the chain and checked rear wheel alignment. Finished up the evenings shed time with balancing the throttle bodies, as I hadn't done that since the injector issue late last year. #1 and #2 were flowing less than #3 and #4.  All 4 pots running at 28cmHg at 1100rpm now (actually easier to balance at 1500-1600rpm by winding the manual idle adjuster in a bit, then winding out once set.)

Just got to clean the front brake bobbins and we're done.

Eric did you buy Suzuki genuine levers ? I'm thinking they're hideously expensive.
I've had Blue anodised Pazzo levers on mine since 2010 and zero sign of wear. I think at the time they were $275/pair.

Yes, genuine from Webike Japan.  Including freight for all bits was a bit over 270AUD.

Had Pazzo's on my Daytona 675, very nice levers, lots of adjustment.  Wanted genuine on the 1402. Not really expensive I thought.

Is Webbike like Amazon ? You order from them and Suzuki sends you the items ?

Not as far as I know. They are a bonafide bike and parts seller and not limited to Japanese brands either,  I'm just checking out their BMW listing's too.

I gave away a set of oe levers when I sold the blue. Perfect nic too, didn't know they were worth that much.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Optional billet folding levers from Suzuki...

Yes.... that's $588.50 EACH !!

$1,177 /  £610 a pair.

My Pazzos are still in fabulous condition and have not faded after all theses years and no sign of wear at all.

Hooli

I got the new rear tyre I've had tucked away under the table fitted to the HD today. It's a 200/60 rather than 180/70 because for months Avons in 180 were impossible to source unless you wanted ghey white walls. I doubt it'll make much difference, we'll see. 11k miles from the last one & still barely legal, the front is the same age & still looks new. One thing tractors do oddly well is make tyres last.

Oh & in Bloo Thing news, a chain & sprocket kit turned up yesterday. I've bored a rivet kit off a mate today to see if they make the job easier than two hammers. I might fit it tomorrow.

easy to make a front last when all the weight is on the rear.

Most HD tyres are for looks not performance, because they don't want a warranty claim on tyres being worn out, solution, make them out of black concrete especially the HD specific Dunlops.
I owned three HDs, a Softail, Heritage and RoadKing over a ten year period and was only comfortable on the RoadKing once I switched to Avon Cobras.

Winter project for me, replace the dials on my k2 with a set of AliExpress dials.
For $60au the quality seems pretty good.
