I'm unsure of the pros and cons of the GSX vs its Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki equivalents. Anyone have any thoughts?
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

I was at a bike night tonight getting told about a bloke who used to come down on a K2 with mega miles on it but the bloke telling me said he hadn't seen the bike there for a while. I let him know eventually, but it'd have been rude to let slip too early right?  :whistling:
Surprisingly his opinion of me didn't seem too bad, I'll have to try harder to be my normal self in future

All the more reason to get stuck into the resto of your K2, gotta keep the miles up.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

??
Genuine iridium plugs retail for around 25aud each.  Lots of copies around that claim to be iridium and sold cheap. Stock std plugs retail for around 8AUD each.  I'd call that a saving

Yes, normally a lot, more expensive but they were on sale. NGK and from a reputable seller.

Quote from: KiwiCol on Thursday, 11 June  2026, 06:12 PMI've got a set of 6 Iridium plugs (imported from Australia) ready to go in when I do that service, but, gotta say, nothing wrong with the std plugs she runs at the moment though.

Agree, there is nothing wrong with the originals but these were on sale and for an extra £2, I thought I would give them, a go.

Today pulled off rhf caliper,  been dragging when moving bike. Worked out rh with infra red thermometer after ride yesterday. All refurbished around 3 yrs ago, 3 pistons jammed solid. WTF. Have a spare caliper, all free pistons, put it on for now. Look for 4 pots. Have been reading up on 6 pots, metal corrosion of caliper body is the main culprit, I agree. Can see corrosion underneath even though I'd stripped and painted. Does anyone know if any Nissin calipers will fit? 👍

Dunno where my post went but the plan for this weekend is:
- balance TB's
- adjust TPS and STPS
- fix mirrors
- lube chain
- wash and detail

Rode to work today and took the long way home, some open country roads near my place, so did about 10 practice emergency stops in a row, front brakes got some decent temp in them, rotors nice and smooth. Braking performance a bit better, but like Grog, will be looking for replacement 4 pots.

New clutch pivot pin and levers arrive next week, hopefully makes a difference in clutch action.

Updated suspension settings,  feedback was a lot better, will also be rebuilding forks with oem seals and bushings.

I did the 48k service on the Bloo Thing yesterday, found what feels like a soft rawplug half blocking the outlet from the tank, cleaned the teabag and rebuilt the front brakes as I wasn't quite happy with them.
All sorted now and I'll do a proper post on it's thread when at home.

I'm currently sat outside a pub with a pint on the test ride.

I'll refrain from mentioning the total hydration today officer but I've only been home 20mins from bike night.
