I couldn't find Tokico 4 pots under $300. Rebuild kit $115 from Brakemasters in UK via eBay. Ended up doing stainless pistons as well $275 also via Brakemasters. Stainless bolts that clamp the halves together from ProBolt if I remember correctly.

Had them blasted and Cerakoted. Can't remember how much but recall being robbed a little.

I had planned to do similar to the 6 pots and put them on the shelf but don't think I'll bother.

Too nice to get covered in brake pad dust.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

They look nice, too nice to sit on the shelf.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Today I brought a fuel gauge for a battery. Victron Smart Shunt.
It bluetooths to a cell phone app & shows you how much power you have left in the LiFePo4 battery.  You can't estimate the remainder of power using a voltage reading because of the flat curve of power discharge from those batteries. I know the BMS would cut it off but I want to know what's in there, how much is left.   Roll on next week when the new toy arrives.

Today I bought some more warmth.
I do like the house nice and toastie.

Mrs wants to book this years holiday. We were pretty keen on heading out West and doing Carnarvon Gorge and a couple of other places for a week. Sat down to check availability and prices. A week's accommodation in somewhere that looked nice, fuel for a 20+ hour trip, eating out for a week etc etc...

Out of interest I checked flights and the hotel I've used a couple of times in Thailand, really nice hotel, amazing staff, pool, great buffet breakfast, near the beach and good restaurants etc, same dates. Honestly, the prices weren't that far apart !

Wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but I think it might be my pick for this year instead of a little cabin in rural Queensland.

I have very limited knowledge of batteries, I've had a few random ones with a short life and have gone back to mostly Yuasa. My issues have always been down to neglect or failed reg/rec's.

However... a few folk have had hot start issues with the latest Gen-3 Hayabusa. Even with a good battery. I haven't. Suzuki have even put in the manual if you have a problem try using 1/4 throttle when starting. This sort of admits things aren't perfect.

Two things I've noticed......

# The latest 2026 Hayabusa now has an OEM / factory fitted Li-Ion battery as stock.

# Some of the aftermarket Li-Ion batteries available that fit have a waaaaaay higher CCA.

# No one I know or I've seen post with a 2026 bike or an aftermarket battery with some bite has asked about having a starting issue.

Yeah, I wanted to try a car I'd bought, drove up to Port Douglas / Daintree from Brisbane. Did the Gillies, Kuranda etc. stayed in a mix of Hotels, motels and chalets at caravan parks. Ate out every meal but nowhere flash. It was interesting but certainly not luxury.  The bill for accommodation, fuel, food and drink would have got me overseas somewhere really quite nice.

I love Australia, always happy to visit somewhere new, but cheap it isn't !  Mrs is in Melbourne for a few days, I won't ask her what the bill was !

Good stuff that Victron gear Col. Got a Solar controller and smart charger in the caravan. The app is good too, gives you plenty of info.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Yes, I looked at the app & had a play. Configurable & shows lots of info.  It's for the small solar power station I made over the last week or so. It's on 100mm castors so I can move it around to where it may be needed and also to follow the sun.  It has a 200w solar panel, 30a controller, through a watt meter to the battery & into a 1000w inverter.  It was a hobby project with some real world abilities & benefits during a power outage. It'll run the laptops & printer, the wifi router, the big screen tv & later 2 x electric blankets, a bedside light & clock all on 1 days charge. I've also put in a 12v cigarette lighter socket so I can run the Brass Monkey fridge off it at the same time. That does't use much but it works superb.
The Controller has USB outlets to directly charge things from there, so I put a shelf beside that bit to put cell phones & powerpacks on while charging.
Bit of fun building it & decided to add the extra bit this morning, it'll arrive next week from Akl, so new cables to be assembled when it gets here.

In the background of the first pic is a forlorn looking black 14, having it's battery charged because it's been left sitting sooo long it's battery went flat.

😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Genius Col. I've never tried to do what you have but far above my knowledge.

Hooli

Not liked due to the poor neglected 14, even black ones deserve better.
