Just an hours run, enjoyable now temps have dropped. Lovely 26 today.Have lifted bars up a tad, weight off wrists, much easier to tip side to side. Home and dropped oil, just turn on the Fumoto, still managed an exhaust burn. Always amazed how black the oil goes in around 4k, clutch n gearbox does that I expect.

Witta today, stunning day for a ride. Spring hasn't sprung yet.
Like a summer's day.
Met at Caboolture, Woodford, Belthorpe, Postman's track, Maleny range road to Witta.
Fabulous breakfast and coffee.
Went home via Stanley River road, Woodford, Kilcoy, Somerset Dam and farewell stop @ Mt.G cafe (it's changed ownership so needs investigation) then MtCotton. 374 kms door to door in comfort with Wilbur's upgraded rear shock in the Bavarian Mistress.

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

I ended up down the Peak District today, visiting Monyash & Matlock Bath as normal. Bumped in to a bunch I know so stayed out longer than I expected. Was a good day over all if a bit cool still.

Good to see you three at this end of the table looking well Chris :onya:

Decent bunch of bikes for you too Hooli

Out last night with the bride doing some shopping and we parked in front of a white Commodore s/w. I said that's the car that ran into me a couple of weeks ago. Boss says how do you know, I said I just know. See if it's good a gouge at footpeg height on the left side doors. She says yep it does. Pleased they've got something to remember me by
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

What Chris said about our weather, superb. I didn't get out but sat back and listened to everyone else. Two days of bikes heading up into the hills.Id guess we had over 500 go past, you can guess the noisiest.

Thanks Col @Kiwifruit 🙏🙏
Shane and Bobbie send their regards 👍👍.

You got off lightly 🙄 could've been much worse. Did you sign the damage on the Commodore ?

No I didn't, I'd say I got off lightly....they didn't look like the sort of people you'd have as friends

Hey Chris, popular mod those Wilburs on the Beemers.  Seems to work well on most of them.  I had a look into those and couldn't justify the 3-4K investment on a 17yo bike.   I spent under 600AUD getting the OEM WP units rebuilt and all is well so far.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

100 mile ride this morning for breakfast at revs on the fosse just outside shipston-on-stour. Place is really nice , lots of bikes on display. The only disappointment was the breakfast wasn't big enough for what I would call a big breakfast, but at a tenner it's what I'd expect. Brekkie was lovely to eat though. The ride was a bit chilly,Thame-Oxford-Woodstock- shipston on stour, back via moreton-in-marsh-chipping Norton-Burford-Oxford-Thame. :onya:

Will14

Friday evening, Saturday afternoon & Sunday afternoon, first, second & third runs out on the 1400 this year, in fact since last September probably. I didn't venture far, probably 120 miles all in but good to get out & catch up with some mates over a brew or two, certainly lifts the spirits

I had a crazy thought of selling the 14 over winter, glad I didn't such a great all round bike which after 5 minutes in the seat I reminded myself of, you would think after 20 years plus of 14 ownership I would have learnt by now

Still looks pretty good & still gets lots of viewers & compliments every time I take her out, seems to be running better with age strangely as well

Hooli

I just visited a couple bike cafes & a couple of pubs today. My mate's first ride out this year so it wasn't fast or far, just nice to get her riding again now it's warming up. Her dad came along on his Tiger 900 too, but I took so few pics you'll have to imagine that.

The start

The end

They make quite a good pair don't they? Amused me that people in the pub said they prefer the blue one...

Anyway, that's 500 miles on the thing since I got it on the road a week & a half ago. So I think I can say it's behaving like a 14 should.

GSXKING

@Hooli you've put in all the hard work and deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labour mate.
Enjoy it 🥳🥳🥳🍺🍺🍺
