Snotbox went to visit my mum this weekend. It's annoyingly good as a bike, eats up the miles & not bad on fuel (50mpg despite what the reviews said). But it's so bloody ugly & a Honda & ugly. Did I say it's ugly? comfy enough & the wind protection is good on a 5c misty might for 200miles coming home, especially as I did it in under 3 hrs & about a 1/3rd of it has average speed cameras.

It's bloody ugly though, but not as ugly as a GS or Indian Chief thing but ugly.

We need a current pic of the ugly to either concur or not.

Must be a Honda thing Hooli. I've only really had one Honda road bike. 1978 750F1.Ugly bike I thought.Very average, seat, brakes but did the job. One crook fr wheel bearing only thing it ever did wrong. Total fond memories of that one. 812 kit, exhaust, air filter, upgraded cam, went well. Actually revved more than a 14.

I'm sure you've had some?
This ugly, charmless Snotbox. I can't really fault it except for the damage it's had so it's slightly bent etc but it is utterly charmless & like every Honda I've had I don't get on with the gearbox.

Haven't owned a Honda, since the early, eighties. The last one, being a 550 K4.  :embarassed:

As I remember them, you could have a sandwich and a cup of tea, while you waited for the brakes to work, in the dry.

In the wet, you would do better, to hold your hanky out and use it like a parachute.

Rather slow, no ground clearance and very, thirsty.

Ahh, the good old days. Thank God, they are only a memory.  :rofl2:

Look at all those soap suds Hooli.... why did you wash it in the carpark ??
Now I see.... you'd gone glamping.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Snotbox has excellent brakes to be fair, same as a Blackbird or Firestorm I think. It corners too well for such a tall thing too, the wide bars help by making it very easy to push into the bend.

Yes but you're quoting fairly, modern machines. I'm not, am I.  :onya:

True, which is one of many reasons I've got zero interest in old Jap crap.

Mr Gee

Anyway, back to the theme.  :onya:

Where did you ride today?  :smitten:

14 still not, playing nice.   so took the XSR900 when I went to the quacks, this morning.  :clapping:

That was followed, by a trundle up to and around Telford and the museums, then over to Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and a quick

cuppa, at Poolhall.  :boogie:  :salute:

Saw a blue CX500 there and wondered if it might have been Dwain. Probably wasn't but nobody near it, to ask.  :whatever:

I must say that XRS just, keeps on getting better and better, in every way with every, mile that I put on it.  :clapping:  :onya:
Mr Gee

KiwiCol

It'd have to be Dwain, surely couldn't be 2 of them still around. . .
