WTF?
Never thought I'd see the day.
It's a 500, so a trip to Brisbane should be okay (from the Goldie).
I've bought lighter rollers for the variator and a full system (Arrow)
Looking for a little more pep.
Not selling the 1400 yet, but it hasn't been ridden for so long and with injuries taking their toll it might have to go.
That would be a very sad day indeed, but not yet.
Hope Y'all like the new bike. It's a 2010 Aprilia Scarabeo 500ie.

As George Orwell would have said.

Two wheels good

Four wheels okay, if necessary.  :onya:  :hat:

New battery bought, then today pulled the CBR out for a startup and fettle, and she wouldn't go.
Pulled the battery and found this.

Knackered Yuasa.jpg

So bought two of these, on consecutive days, and got a £7 discount on the second one today, Shout out to Rock Batteries

Kiwifruit

Front discs and sintered pads ordered from MetalGear. Already got a tracking number so they're on their way.
 :boogie2:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Are you going to put new brake fluid in too Col?  If yeah, maybe consider doing that prior to fitting the new pads & rotors, no chance of contamination of the new stuff, leave the level a tad low for when you push the pistons back to fit the new pads.  :onya:

Just out of curiosity DD was there a date stamp of manufacture on the Yuasa battery ?
How long do you think it was in the bike ?

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Dwain Dibley

Not a stamp of manufacture but a sticker from when it was filled. The guy in rock Batteries said that manufacturers only give batteries a 12 month warranty, because of the lack of care people give them.

I'm curious as to how you managed to loose ½ the electrolyte from the battery?  Was it on a trickle charger instead of a tender over winter & boiled it away?  :whatever:

Same here , I did not check the battery when I bought the bike as the guy said it was a new one. It might have been like that from the get go.
I have all my bikes on these.

Chap at the shop asked me the same about what type of charger I had.

I'm laughing now looking at the Honda switch block.  :happy1: with the name of buttons on it, as if you could read it whilst riding DOH

Kiwifruit, personally Col, I'd drain old fluid, calipers off, check pistons, don't even need new parts, they clean up and seals re useable.Clean out master cylinder.  Fit new stuff, bleed out👍I've said b4 about tapping the lines/ unions, mine was 3 months before totally solid perfect lever. Well worth the effort.
