Looks pretty similar to what's on it Grog, which I'm told isn't similar enough to the front

Cheers though

Hooli

I hope you guys are all sitting comfortably? I needed to be when I opened a letter this morning...

MY 14 HAS BEEN RECOVERED!

She's a wee bit charred as the seat area has been on fire but looks fixable & I'm collecting her from the salvage yard on Monday. Seems she's mostly complete, the clocks are still there but the bars have been nicked. It'll be a slow job restoring her, but it'll happen as & when I can. I think the hardest bit will be finding a serial PC3 to put the custom map back, or manage to convert it to suit a USB one.

No idea what I'll do with two of the things, but I'll worry about that later.

Hooli

Actually, looking at those pics the PC3 might still be there. I'll find out.

I can imagine what it feels like to find her like this.

To make it worse, it's the second time.
She wasn't as badly damaged last time I got her back.

I need to have a very strong word with her about running away with strangers then!

That really is amazing, after all this time.   I hope in time her wounds will heal & she'll be once again proudly roaming the streets with you.  Bikes aren't like women, they don't mind if you ride a different one each day.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Hooli

Oh she'll recover, I'll make sure of that. After I've done Mk2 though, then I've got one on the road to enjoy the summer with. Not sure what direction this will take, with the plastics & paint damage she might end up a new colour but I'll decide that later on.

Phill P

That's great news that it's been found, bloody odd they took the handlebars.
Any background on where it was found, was it with any other stolen bikes.

I can recommend the monimoto tracker and pragmasis chains  :boogie:
Thankfully we all like different things, and I like a modded GSX1400

The police haven't told me a thing, I've not even heard off them. I'll try & find something out next week though.

I know the road & rough house number it was recovered outside in Redcar as the pics the salvage yard sent me had geotags. Doesn't look a terrible area so I suspect scrotes where pushing it with no bars over the field there & got spotted before the fire got going.

Phill P

Little cherubs probably got puffed out pushing it as they are more used to mopeds and 125's  :whatever:

Glad it's back

GSXKING

@Hooli what's the time frame from stolen to now ?
Do you get salvage rights ?
Good luck restoring her, don't let it become a money pit though. You have a replacement now anyway.

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
