Didn't ride anywhere. Stayed at home and built a Mercedes G Wagon.

Sadly, it was for my great grandson and not, for me.  :onya:   :happy1:

2 Wheels 1 Love is a Perth WA motorcycle gathering once a month, December is the largest gathering of motorcycles, around 500 or more attended,  I rode the ZZR1200 today ..  it's nice having choices  :smitten:

Looks very nice Mick, but I'd last about 10 minutes riding with a setup like that.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

2W1L is a great gathering, been to a few. BMW club meet up on Sunday's clashes when its on, but I will have to make time for 2W1L again.  They were getting some noise complaints from nearby residents earlier this year
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I have a GSX1000R .. I say I have but it's my son's, I only paid for it lol .. that bike I can't even sit on and pretend to ride. To much lean over and pegs to far back .. my eye balls don't look up high enough   to see past the gauges. The ZZR is completely different .. at 100kph it is very comfortable no weight on the arms, wrists, I can look straight ahead without putting pressure on my neck ... and my complete spine and skeletal system is stuffed ... When I do go from the Zed to the GSX of XJR ... both feel like adventure bikes.

I took one of those big Kwakas for an hours ride. Was a while ago but remember was very impressive bike. Not sure if same/ similar model to yours, had plenty of grunt. I actually thought it was 1400cc same as Suzuki, not sure.

MickyJB

Not exactly the same Grog, that's the later model Ninja 1400, a very nice powerful bike. I did own the GTR1400 for a year or so, it was a lovely bike also, not sure exactly why I sold it ... I think the expense and time involved in doing the shims was a reason.

The ZZR1100 / 1200 has the reputation of being the fastest bikes back in the early 2000's ... along with the Hayabusa & CBR Blackbird, all limited to 186mph - 300kph

I don't do anything like those speeds but the acceleration is incredible. 😁

I've always liked big Kawasaki's right back to the old aircooled Z1000's.  Had some great times on them, ZZR1100 right up to the H2 SX SE too.  The one that I liked but missed, was the ZX14R, more so the Brembo Ohlins Edition.  Always thought I'd get on OK with one.

The downside for me is it's another Honda Blackbird. A good bike a lot of folk loved that was abandoned by its manufacturer.  Kawasaki have everything to bring out a Euro-5+ version but have abandoned it in favour of the H2 SX which just doesn't tick the box's for a lot of folk. When my focus wandered off to naked bikes the ZX14 was easily a good alternative to the Gen-2 Busa, now bikes have moved on, but the ZX14 never did. Still a good solid brute of a bike and much better value than the later alternatives.

I've often said if there were no big Suzuki's I'd be on a big Kawasaki's.

Got to love a big Kwak.

Drag racing one weekend...

Lost in France another...

Took the 14  :smitten:  for it's MOT today, which she sailed through.  :clapping:

A nice cold (5 degrees), dry day but overcast. The sort of day that engines like; when they run that bit, crisper.

The roads were dry and good for riding and the 14 was running sweet, so after, I went for a little jolly.  :)

I was really, enjoying myself, on a nice but narrow, stretch of road with lot's of twisty bits when that damned, intermittent fault decided to rear it's head.   :bugga:     :furious:

Bit hairy with cars and artics roaring past and nowhere to pull off the road.

Ten minutes later, she suddenly decided to start again, so headed straight home.  :frustrated:  :frustrated:  :cry2:

yesterday reading a Snotbox owners group on FB I found out why Snotbox has no fast idle when cold. It's because Honda were lazy & did a half arsed load of shite. It's supposed to have a manual 'choke' lever to raise the idle rather than them automating it properly.
I never knew as the lever is missing, as is the cable. I had a look into it & the cable is NLA but you can get the lever. I might buy a 'make your own cable kit' for pushbikes & a lever to see if I can bodge it together. It's slightly annoying that you have to hold the throttle on, use the front brake, ride the clutch & paddle it through the tiny gap between my car & fence each morning when I take it out.
Thing is, if it's 8-10c or warmer then it doesn't stall anyway so I'll probably never get around to it.

Sounds like a nice little "dark night project" for you Hooli.

Get on it Man !!

Started making a to-do list.

It's a long list.

It's down the list of to-do lists.

There are a few.

I've just ordered what should be my last box of genuine bits needed for 14 Mk2. When trying to get the other bits I need I've found an issue.

Anyone understand EBC Waveys? I'm swapping mine with a mate as I don't like them, but she wants matching front & rear. Mines got a jizzer rear that looks even worse & nothing like the front. Been looking around online to try & find a matching rear & getting nowhere. So open to suggestions...

Mine has these on the front so I'm trying to find a rear that matches them in looks.

Thankfully we all like different things, and I like a modded GSX1400

You've probably found this already but the only wavey rear EBC make is an MD3083C. Not a direct match to the fronts you have unfortunately.
