I've just tracked it down looking on the laptop so the pics are bigger, it's a £460 3 Laminate Performance longbow Bamboo, Purpleheart, Ipe bow with £120 of arrows.

Even more of a bargain, happy with that!

Possibly, being an uncivilised oik. But less successful with the ladies.

It seems to be something I can do ok at though, 2 sessions after the training (stuff like don't shoot people etc) I'd passed the club 20yrd badge for recurve & scoring well enough for the 30yrd barebow. Same bow but recurve has the sight on, I stopped using it as I wanted to get a longbow at some point...

I get bored without new things to do.

I went to Warwick Castle and there was an archery demo, it was great. Turned out the archer was a work colleagues husband.

Anyway, he was shooting at cabbages on sticks at varying distances (set at head height) on a slope.
A bloke jumped the wall at the back/top of the range and started to walk down, oblivious to the signs and indeed the arrows whizzing past him. We all started shouting various expletives and he finally realised where he was.

Hilarious.... and no-one died.

I never buy those individually, they're about £10 each? I got a box full covering all sizes for about £22 off ebay the other year.

Lucky day for me. Car rear shocks on special, half price. Front link pins on Repco clearance line. Always worth checking Aussies. Pins normally around $65 each, today $20 for pair.

Returned the "new" oil filter wrench, I bought the other day and Bought another but different new oil filter wrench to replace it. Hopefully, I can now, complete servicing the XSR9

Yet another, tin of electrical contact cleaner, to start the next round of my search for the intermittent fault on the 14.

Some new ratchet spanners, a new pop riveter and some new stubby sockets, to get into the tight places.

All paid for with the money saved not, putting petrol into 14.   :happy1:  :rofl2:  :clapping:
