I'm nearly there, just some high tensile cylinder studs and nuts and gaskets. I'm on with the gaskets though Cometic will make the head and base gaskets to suit, still sorting the details though. The only other task to have sorted before I start the build is I want the crank/rods/pistons balancing, I'm junking the balancer shaft, I've found a place to do it, just sorting the details at the moment.

Make sure that you'r high tensile bits and bobs are long enough, and that you cant torque them in oem specs (thread stripping is very forcefully present with em, aluminum block vs hardened steel). And if you are going for studs, you have to pull the engine out every time if you want to do something involving the removal of the valve head.

What comes to balancing and Carillos - you can forget about it, they are spot on. Mine had a minute differences with the j.p pistons, and by mixing and matching no balancing was needed.
...I accidentally Mordored my motor, is it bad...?

I was talking to a guy yesterday, he said any gains would be minimal, its more about reliability though, I will possibly end up with the balance shaft back in and not bother with the lightening.

Guys, I have bought a shot 1400 Motor yesterday for 50 bucks ( transmission included).
My plan was to buy and modify this motor while my bike stays operating.
Could you write down a concept inkluding a parts list and list of modifications so I can copy-build this?

There are no kits available I think, so I must follow your wisdom

I will add pictures in the evening :)

I'm sure there are big bore workshops in the UK  and or EU.  I recall reading about 1 such shop that it's a ride in on a std 1400 & ride out (once done) on whatever monster you wished to create, they did everything in house.   So you should have no trouble getting your 'new' engine to how you'd like it.

I have a friend who does my Chevy Small and Big Blocks since 30 years. I want him to do at least the shortblock. These workshops take way too much cash for my liking :)

Try Googling gsx1550 big bore kit, you get quite a few hits on this.

Also member @Blubber has extensive knowledge of this subject, he may be able to assist, but tbh, I don't see him around much these days, probably too busy flogging that sleeper of his . . .

Phil Tainton in Australia was doing 1620 conversions, I don't know much about them other than they were not cheap, and they went real well.

A guy I know on the East coast has one in a drag bike, we had another on one of our group rides a while back.

You could see if PTR want to just sell the parts you want.

There's one around Brisbanevthat the local Suzuki guru / mad professor put together. I think that one is bore and stroke to closer to 2000cc.

You sir are correct.
I am trying to sell my 1402 powered EFE.

However... i still have the remains of my 1700cc disaster which i intent to put back in stock form for another EFE. Long term plans.

Still need to finish my GSX1100ET with a GSX100F engine, sell that one too.

I only have a small shed to work in and do not fancy renting a storage box.
