:boogie: feeling a bit pissed off with the clock on my bike. I purchased a secondhand GSX 1400 last Nov and have just now done an oil change and thought I would have a go at setting the clock back an hour, did the usual, press both buttons together to get the digits flashing like I did on the vstrom and burgman I had previously, but nothing happened. The previous owner cant find the manual, so I though I would register on this forum for support on this magic motorcycle.... :clapping:

First - you can download an owners manual from the Downloads section on here (look to the left a few on the bar where you hit "logout"

Second - regards the clock. pesky thing. Sometimes you find rather than press both at once, you need to press one of the buttons a fraction after the other. Can take a few goes, but will work eventually
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

i would never own another bike without a clock. can remember on others trying to get a look at watch, was a dangerous exercise.

You have to press and hold both down for a few seconds before it starts to flash.

It's not just the buttons - you have to hold your tongue the right way and ensure you don't blink at the wrong time and ensure the bike is at least 50 metres away from any ginger cat....

I found mine wouldn't come up flashing no matter what I did, found the posts behind the rubber buttons wasn't quite in line and not quite pushing on the pub.
Re- alighted and hey presto :boogie:

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off
