It's finally happened..... Just replaced the original battery after 8 years and 55,000kms so needed to reset the time.
It's always been a bit fiddley but has gone into reset function within a dozen or so presses.
Not this time, I've given up.  :frustrated:

WTF do you do now?

I know how. I've done it several times between EST and EST bit and both buttons work separately to toggle through trips and ODO and reset to zero bit wont respond reset clock when pressed together. Doesn't matter where I put my tongue.............. NO JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The manual say to push both buttons together, hold them down for a few seconds until the minute indicator starts to blink, adjust by pushing the reset button.  That's what the handbooks says anyway Ross.

Well, worst case scenario, they won't reset. So at 11.58, disconnect your battery.  Reconnect it again at 12.00 & you're sweet.  No button pressing required.

My pleasure.

:boogie: feeling a bit pissed off with the clock on my bike. I purchased a secondhand GSX 1400 last Nov and have just now done an oil change and thought I would have a go at setting the clock back an hour, did the usual, press both buttons together to get the digits flashing like I did on the vstrom and burgman I had previously, but nothing happened. The previous owner cant find the manual, so I though I would register on this forum for support on this magic motorcycle.... :clapping:
