That screen will make a great spinnaker down wind. Don't forget to shout 'ready about' before corners.

Irish in Oz

I have a few screened bike never been an issue, maybe because I'm bigger than the screens and generally I'm travelling faster than the wind.

TBH the only one I've had an issue with was the Pan Euro with a massive touring screen & then it had to be very strong winds from a particular angle.

Irish in Oz

Never ridden the Pan with standard screen only Givi one, rode it just after the 1400 and it is better no need for a visor.

Hooli

Yeah it was a Givi screen on mine. The standard screen is crap & directs all the wind into your eyes, I couldn't even do 30mph with my visor open because of it.

failed MOT  :bugga:  :bugga:  :bugga: front tyre illegal ( Rossi can ride on slicks but I can't?? ) rear on the limit so 2 new tyres but which ones? 5k out of the Bridgestone T32
oh and front brake binding slightly but guess that's down to new discs and pads still running in
oh and someone ran into the back of me 500yards from the MOT test centre - thankfully no damage
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Hooli

Sounds an excellent* day there!

Tyres wise. I've just put Avon Spirits on mine and they ride great. Can't report on how long they last yet, but I got 7.5k from the older Avon 3DXMs that these are the replacement for. Cheaper than the big makes too.

Mick_J

I can recommend Avon's as well, they last well and the grip is good wet or dry.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Yesterday I set a new wading depth record for myself on my 14. One I don't intend to beat as it didn't leave much room for error.

I couldn't be bothered with the diversion around a closed road on the way home as I knew it was only 8-9" deep last time I rode though the flooded bits a week or so ago, each flooded bit being 150yrds or so long. Yeah, it's got deeper & for about 50ft in each flooded bit the bottom of the oil cooler was underwater. That doesn't leave much room till the air intake gets wet so more than deep enough for me.

You know it's deep when the splashes stop coming up as the mudguard etc are totally underwater & you're winding on power in 1st to keep to a fast walking pace. The three blokes in a van they'd drowned who were stuck between the floods were mardy too, they didn't wave back when I rode past them & into the next flood...

Past Denby Ings, nr Mexborough for anyone local.

New Avons hung on well then did they @Hooli 🤣🤣🤣

Hooli you need to get Kingi to send you the air intake snorkel off an old toyota hi-lux then floods would be no issue to you at all.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
