Boat propeller outside diameter and blade pitch all in inches
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

KiwiCol

Yeah, that's how it's done, in inches.  Never heard of metric being used for prop sizes, guess it'd confuse the hell outta folk if ya said you had a 39.37 x 48.26, but I guess you'd get used to it.

You would need that 17 inch to get me out of the deep on one ski or 500kg of paua onboard.

KiwiCol

She's pretty good no matter what the load, but the 17 is def quicker.  Strangely is way worse in reverse, just doesn't grab as good as the 19.   Oh & 500Kg of paua is a def no no, allowed 6 per person only.

Been searching new boots. Today bought RST Frontiers. Tried on demos off shelf, perfect. They supplied a new pair from stock. Home and happy until i tried on. RH boot not made correctly, has protruding ridge near small toe/ rhs of foot.Impossible to walk in, rubs badly.Im sure will be replaced or diff brand bought. Bloody annoying, hours wasted to go back to shop.

Jiggler pump valve, after draining my tank of a gallon and a half of Tesco finest 99 ron I rediscovered that my mouth and petrol are not good friends.
Insert pump valve/hose in tank, give it what looks like a five knuckle shuffle and out comes the golden fluid. Also came from the land down under, although manufactured in China  :whatever:

I just use a long clear pipe so I can see when to stop sucking. Handy to fill my petrol stove when camping too.

Just had an old hosepipe at the time, for £8 all in it was cheap enough

I think my bit is left over from buying a roll of 3mm tube to replace the delivery pipe on a Scottoiler, being small it's a bit slow. Which is handy as the cooker holds about 150ml.

A regular sized latte from the Costa Coffee machine and a packet of Royal Dutch Miniature cigars.

(Now you can understand why I don't contribute to this forum topic regularly  :embarrassed: )

I'm going to guess the 17 and 19 are pitch?

I gather the greater the pitch, the bigger the difference between forward and reverse performance is.

The pitch is the amount of water thrust per revolution of prop. Cavitation is probably the main reason for difference between forward and reverse.

25kg of fine crushed glass for blasting bits of the bike clean.

I already have glass beads (somewhere) but this was cheap enough to allow me to experiment to see which is best for cleaning with the least amount of damage.

All the best ... Barry
