Hi all,
So my gsx1400 has been neglected for the past few months since my car accident.
Want to get it running proper again.
First thing looking to do is swap out the current handle bars to blue renthal bars.
My question is would these fit the gsx1400?

Any modifications needed to fit this?

hard road

they look like they will fit, I have some bars on mine that are slightly higher and slightly wider than standard and no problem with all cables and wires.

The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Tally

758's fitted to mine with no issues whatsoever, a nice riding position too.

Had 758 ultralows on my xjr and was perfect, the gsx has after market which looks very much like 758 but are just black, also perfect for me at 5ft 8
Thankfully we all like different things, and I like a modded GSX1400

I have the blue renthals on my 1400, they really do look nicer than standard chrome bars.

I'm unsure as to the benefits of changing the handlebars. After 21 years I'm so used to the riding position it would feel strange to change them.  :confused1:

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Agree Chris. Never found a need to change. Weve been thru all this before, too flexi, wrong angle etc. OK for me.

Thanks lads. Think I'll order from sportsbikeshop as they seem reliable enough.
Don't have a problem with the original ones, just they not in great condition now.
Holes either side are in bits for the bar ends and rust on it, so to me a change is needed.

My bike had them fitted when i bought it, it's all down to personal freferences as it's your bike but I must admit that I think they make the look of the bike more than the standard ones do. T.T.T

grog

TTT, i agree, do look good.Wouldnt mind a black set.

Depends what suits ya. If I ride a 14 with standard bars it causes pain between my shoulder blades cause of the angle my hands are at.

Tally

Mine came with them fitted when I bought the bike. Perfect riding position for me at5'10 , so never bothered changing them, don't need to.

I might change my 758s, only because after several drops they are very slightly bent & it annoys me. Not sure what I'll fit instead, I might go for something slightly higher now I'm old & ride slower.

Also tried 754 road low on my xjr which felt very high compared to the original flat bars but aren't much high than ultra lows, all are lower than standard gsx chrome bars I would say
