Sounds great Hooli, shame about the bike, hope you get it sorted soon.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Still planting.

Another 26 in the last week.
I think that's up towards 250 trees and shrubs so far.

Today I made a bike ramp / lift sorta thing.  It raises the bike off the ground by 280mm (just over 10" for you imperial blokes)  I'm happy enough with it for now, at least I can see stuff without being on the ground.
Easy on, bike in gear and walk beside it while it goes up the ramp. I use a sml stool to stand on to get me the same height as the bike, so I can put it on the main stand.
Off is off the main stand & pull backwards.

That's the shed for the boat being built & none of the wood used came from there, was stuff I already had from other projects.

I also ordered 4 x H7 Osram Night Breaker +200 bulbs for the Merc, from FRANCE!  Good price and shipping very reasonable, cost NZD $47 for 2,  here similar version cost in excess of $110 each.

Looks a handy ramp. Probably about the same height I often leave my bike lift at, it's enough to stop bending too much when doing most jobs.

Spoke to my mechanic STU at Rising Sun motorcycles Capalaba today he just fitted an electronic cruise control on his XJR1300. He said it was fiddly to fit but looks factory.

One of the locals here made me 4 of these...

We did the first two at different heights, before we decided on the next two.

I only use them for long term projects and parts, but it means I can pull one out, work on it, push it away again, even if it's not a rolling bike.  I can push them up tighter together if I want more space.

Easy to put a bike upon one as I have two hydraulic benches, lift the bike to the right height on roll it on.

I spin the paddock stands around as that way they take up less space and don't get in the way.

Internet experts seem to think spinning the stands around will be a drama. It isn't. Even with a complete bike.  We designed the mezzanine to be suitable to hold or lift bikes.

I don't use them very often, but if and when I want to tinker with the bikes, or add or remove parts, or just measure up stuff, it's nice to have stuff at a working height.

That's really interesting.
Reading up on the Busa kit (which would be similar to a 14's) it looks well thought out, reads the speedo sensor, clutch, brakes etc, end result should be like a proper OEM system. I hate the sticky throttle / wrist rest types, but that looks really good.

I'm surprised you can get the stands in/out that way around on complete bikes. But if you say it works then it must do.

I frequently get similar comments. I put my Bandit 1200 on to test it. Had my GSX11 on one too.

My mezzanine was designed to lift or hold the weight of bikes and to have multiple adjustable points to do it.  I have plenty of stands but removing front ends, swingarms etc taking the weight from above just makes it extra safe.

Turning the stand around only means lifting the bike an inch so it's really not a big deal.

Ahh I get how you do it now. I was thinking how to get the stands under & lift the bike with them. Sounds like you lift them from above & then put the stands in for extra support.
