I have done that EXACT same thing when I was younger and first into bikes..
Its a great way of injecting some adrenalin !

I have a no heels, no laces rule on my bike boots. I'm not sure what the style is called but a very insignificant heel is nice to move the foot around with than a more chunky one.

We all have different tastes.

Good rules Tony. Another new thing i like but dont. Helmets with slide together fastening instead of D rings. Like the way they work but number of times almost dropped helmet, carrying it and hit clasp release. Totally aware now but need to be careful.

Thank you for the reminder. My hiking boots have lace-garages. Never needed them as the laces were long enough to loop the ends around the shaft. So forgot about them. Bought new laces which are shorter, so I left them dangling. Very annoying as they kept getting into the shaft. Now they get garaged and I am minus one annoyance :boogie2:

Notty

My laces wrapped around the gear change lever so when I stopped couldn't put the stand down  :bugga: mate came and cut them off  :)

Why persevere with laced boots?   Why not get zipped & velcro ones?  I've been using these for years n no issues.

Col, you sure it's not because you can't tie shoe laces.

Yeah,     well,   there's that too, but they're still easier! :onya:  :clapping:

I've always used lace up boots and never had a problem with them.  Started out with Doc Martins, then Military boots (Which I still use, although not the same pair) and then moved on to high leg safety boots and now use altbergs.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

They never allow convicts to have laces, so I've always had zip and Velcro boots...
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Did you get those off Notty?
No - they have laces so too dangerous - mind you the heels mean I could put a jack up kit on and still reach the floor  :rofl2:

Hooli

Laced boots for me, more comfy, more adjustable and means I can get ones comfy to walk miles and miles in.

Hence I've got Altberg hoggs

Aye, makes sense to get them for when the Hardley Movington breaks down.
