My Uncles cattle dogs never feared them, used to hang off their tails for free ride home. I grew up with cows around, i reckon Jersey, Friesian etc were harder to get on with than some of the bigger ones, Herefords were unreal, we used to jump on them, lead around, huge bulls never a problem. Maybe i was lucky.

Yeah, these aren't too bad, they aren't keen on my pup as a few of the cows have new calf's and the cows and the bull are a bit defensive, that's a good thing, we hear Dingo's or Wild Dogs in the hills behind us most nights.

Next door neighbour is known for his cattle. He makes quite expensive stuff from top end imported pewter and horn, expensive cutlery, bowls and stuff.  He's known around the world in his trade and has TV programs and features on the ABC channel etc.

If I don't get cattle soon I'll run his Longhorns on my block. I asked his how social or manageable they are, he laughed... "Very, or the don't get to stay".

One of the local pubs has a camel...



... and it's not that rare to go to the cafe or pub and find a horse tied up outside !

This week is our annual car show. Quite unreal driving around with all these beauties. Even a 250 GTO Ferrari here, car lovers will know their value. Makes me shake standing near it. Unreal experience, Chev Camaro 454, twin turbo and supercharged, its power, must be lots. Datsun 1200 utes , VW Beatles, up to Huge utes, etc. Great week for me. Decided against fencing off the orchard area with mesh. Just going to leave it with barbed wire to keep cattle out.  It'll mean using tree guards and fences for veggies, and it won't be dog proof, but I like seeing the Roo's and Wallabies from the house.

Never saw a frost on the coast in Qld, we get a few up here inland in the High Country. Big difference to UK is not long after the sun's up its nice again, 20 degrees C and a beautiful day.




In Summer I often ride South and stay around Stanthorpe, nice in Summer, in Winter it gets bitter cold there. Snow isn't rare and they have seen -10 C.     I actually turned down a very well paying contract to work in Stanthorpe over Winter, hate the cold.

Brand new Pirelli tyres going onto the rack in the store today.
I had a look at a couple.

Angel GT2 (Same as mine)... Made in China.

So I grabbed a more sporty Diablo Rosso-4 from the same delivery...
Made in Germany.

They asked me what I'd prefer. I said either an S22 or a Shinko Hook-Up, they don't stock either but said they'll get them in.
