Was lucky today. Had to change a 3 ton truck tyre on side of road. That meant crawling around under its rear to wind down spare, locate jack etc. i pushed myself back out and rolled over. 100 mm from right shoulder was a naked syringe. 25mm of needle poking out. Just imagine my state of mind tonight if that jabbed me. Still shudder thinking about.

Fishy, yeah great bikes. Much better quality than some we have now.

Yeah some guys in the US put astronomical miles on them, all laden up with touring gear and fairings. Heavy though. I think it was made out of melted down cannons and anvils. I'll be approaching the first corner with trepidation for sure.

The XS1100 was well known for it's gobs of torque and it's Kawasaki ability to corner
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

A close call Grog, shudder to think of being in that situation then get pissed off that someone does that, just mongrels.

The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

XS1100 won lots of endurance races in Oz late 70s.

Here's a bit of Oz nostalgia for you. A nutcase winning a 6 hour race at Amaroo Park on a shaft drive touring bike in 1978:

That guy needs extra big trousers to hold his cojones.

Just love it Fishy. We used to ride the roads similar, were great days.

T250

Went out last night on my old T140, started popping, banging and running like crap, managed to get home, I had a sneaky suspicion about the fuel I had just put in from a garage down the road...yup crap fuel  :furious: I bought enough to fill the 1400 up as well, so spent today draining both bikes and filling back up with good fuel...

You are cruising keeping the fenders out?
Do you know what it means?
You are having escort service girls onboard, by an old seaman code.
We got a notification from the same thing from the harbour master of Hull :salute:
