So Im finally rebuilding the forks. Ive had issues with the top bush and whether it's in far enough into the recess, and this evening Ive tried to get the new seals in and can't get them down far enough.
So I've had to knock apart one of the stanchions 3 times now to start again with the bush and seal, and now with the bush back in, on one of the forks I can wiggle the stanchion a little bit in the fork leg. There's no movement in the other one.
Need to check if this movement is ok? Have I now knackered the bush from taking the fork apart again?
Thanks everyone.

As you tap the bush down it goes to a clunk rather than ring when it's fully seated.

You won't have hurt the bushes, but how much copper could you see on them? As they wear the black comes off revealing the copper.

Also seals don't like to be removed and refitted, so you might have caused yourself issues there.
