Afternoon all.

I am having issues with engine not running well. Coughing and spluttering pulling away under 2k rpm and cutting out when I release the throttle.

So planning on balancing the throttle bodies and adjusting or replacing the main TPS.

Does anyone know if a 2005 suzuki bandit TPS is the same as a GSX1400?

I can get a bandit one loads cheaper and they look the same.
Hang the expense!
Put another pea in the soup!

Part number for GSX1400 TPS: 113-1358042 F00  & GSF1200/GSF1200S TPS = 13550-13060

Different part numbers, so that tells me the items are different inside.  Short answer looks like no.  But, if you can borrow one off a mate or such, try it out n see.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

If not done already it would be worth checking the rubber vacuum hoses while you are doing the throttle bodies. Possibly one has come off although they are prone to crack and/or split which would cause similar symptoms. The hose is easily sourced 3.2mm id vac hose and can be cut to the correct size, carbtune balance hoses are the correct size making for a cheap repair if the hoses are the issue

Look on webike Japan for the TPS, much cheaper than over here.

I'd say vacuum hoses too though. A TPS fault will occur at any revs when you've got the right amount of throttle on.

Don't forget the STPS as well. Both sensors can be found at Webike Japan, save some postage and do both.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
