Hello
Has anyone put Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier II on their 14?
I just got some for 2 reasons, no choice where I live and the roads are like glass, so I want something grippy.
Don't tour or anything so don't care about mileage, need quick warm up and no sliding around.
Bike is in bits for new exhaust, chain, sprockets and stuff so won't get to ride them for a week or two yet.
I know there are as many opinions as there tyres but what do you think?

Not this side of the globe Rufus, I've not used them - bound to be some of the UK contingent that have first hand experience of them.

Ahh Malta - I tried to rent a bike when I was over on holiday and they flatly refused as the roads were so shiny - had trouble stopping the car in the dry so must be dreadful in the wet and on a bike ? OMG :bugga:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Rufus, why are the roads like glass? What are they made of?  I had a look where Malta is, & it's really a small place, I'm surprised you need new chain & sprockets really - no, I'm not taking the piss.
Do you ever get into top gear?   a 14 would seem a bit of over kill, but they are a great bike.

hey KiwiCol

The road is supposed to be asphalt but who knows  The problem is the topping is crushed limestone not granite, it wears completely smooth and holds water in the rain, lethal.
Never get out of second gear here, that's a worry when some 14s have 2nd gear issues and yes a 14 is total overkill here .
When the Ferry prices permit we go for a blast in Sicily, the roads there are empty and have fantastic twisties.
